Re: STOP the default Easy Pay!!!

[ Edited ]

I look at it this way.  Easy Pay is absolutely mandatory for some people to enable them to buy more expensive items.  So when they might forget to change to Easy Pay, it might be a catastrophe.  In fact, I think it's mandatory for some people to buy a cheap item.  I like the fact they try to accommodate everyone.

Re: STOP the default Easy Pay!!!

I'm wondering after reading some of these replies if some people aren't aware you can go to your order and change it from Easy Pay to just one payment.

This Topic has been around for along time. What's so difficult to just click EDIT?

To please some and use one time payment as the default could actually affect someone who would like the item but forgot to click Edit to change it to Easy Pay.

Also, why have 100 or 200 tied up while you wait for a refund because you hate what you bought.  Use Easy Pay, and if you plan to keep what you bought, then go in and Pay in Full.

@Sage04 There was a recent thread talking about movie phrases that people use in everyday life. All I could think were Seinfeld phrases😁

Re: STOP the default Easy Pay!!!

I AGREE!!!!! I've been purchasing stuff from the Q for 26 years --- and never used easy pay. A couple of times, I didn't realize that I had to change it to one payment - when my statement arrived, I was confused about what I purchased. The Q loves EZ-Pay since the interest rate is very high for people not paying their bills on time.

@Beachdweller    Is it such a burden to click "edit" and change the method of payment?  Also you can go into your account at any time and pay one or all payments on an item.

More people select easy pay so that's why it's the default.  Majority rule.

I doubt that most people select EZ Pay - if they do, they probably spend more money than they could afford.

Agreed! I wish we could remove Easy Pay as the default setting in our accounts. It's a pain in the butt to have to remember to change that setting each & every time I purchase something from QVC.

Easy Pay is a great option for those who want to use it but quit forcing it as the default for everyone. What pain in the rear end to have to have to remember to change the payment method every single order or be stuck with those endless payments on the credit card.

It gets even worse - when trying to return the items that were on EZ Pay --- u need a CPA to figure out ur bills.

I have no issue either.  All you do is pay attention and read.

The Q doesn't have to have a "one time payment" as the default.  They should have another option that the "pay in full" customers can select that would make all of their purchases pay in full.  That option would not effect the Easy Pay customers.
