Rick does it too, and I really like him as a host. I think he does it so much because he's so hyper. Don't know for sure. I only watch home and kitchen shows, so I don't have wide knowledge about it.

Please change the way hosts talk about prices. For example, Rachel Boesing rarely says the price of an item. It's always "It's available for 5 easy pays of 37.00" people that are hard of hearing or sight impaired have a difficult time understanding the actual price. Many of the hosts do this and it can be confusing. Please just have them give us the price of the item. We can figure out the rest.

I suspect that TPTB brought this up in a sales meeting and told the hosts to keep mentioning an easy pay price.   I doubt the hosts would each come up with this by themselves.

IMO, they were told to say it to make the item seem cheaper or for people to consider whether it would fit into their monthly budgets.

Re: Request re stating prices

Another bothersome thing for me is when they have the graphics at the bottom of the screen. I am hard of hearing so the captions cover up the graphics, sizes etc. I do look things up myself but still. Yes they do like to minimize the price with the easy pays. I've been a customer for decades and not easily fooled. Some hosts are good at it.

I agree, I definitely think it's the upper management that has the hosts do this because they all do it across the board. The hosts are just doing their jobs as instructed.

So, I personally don't blame them.

Totally agree ~ announcing the EasyPay only is very misleading.

How about when the host says,"Get it home for 24.  24 what? dollars, pennies,Eurodollars?

Perhaps it depends what platform you are using. I watch it on my Samsung TV, and it doesn't show the product information.

Re: Request re stating prices

This night time host is bad to say the price is on your screan. She does this a lot. I am legally blind and can't read that small screen. I have to get the computer and look up the price. Or she says this is the prce of a t-shirt. I am watching in bed most of the time and don't want to get up.

Re: Request re stating prices

Iwas in sales for many years and I can tell you this is definitely a sales tactic, one that I don't agree with. I think that the full price should be quoted and then the easy pay. And more than once. Doesn't have to be excessive, but a  couple times. I'm used to looking for the full price, but I have no sight or hearing issues.

A good example. My husband was watching the Q with me a couple of weeks ago and there was some article of clothing on and he said to me, That's nice. You should get it, it's only $24. No honey, it's four payments of $24. He said, it's not that nice! LOL

Re: Request re stating prices

Use to confuse my husband who did not watch as much as I did.  He would say that is cheap and I would say no that is one payment out of 3 or 5.

Can catch you off guard.
