RAISING PRICES ON PHILOSOPHY OLIVE OIL SCRUB

Dear QVC, I am a VERY LONG TIME LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!. I LOVE PHILOSOPHY!!!. I am a OLIVE OIL SCRUB JUNKY. My problem is YOU QVC have raised the price AGAIN!!!. January 2014 you RAISED the price $5.00 NOW I see today JUNE 2014 you have RAISED the PRICE $4.00 more it is now $40.00 for the supersize. I think you are taking advantage of your customers because the weather is warm and everybody wants their skin to be soft and you QVC are the only place your can buy the olive oil scrub. With the increase price and the shipping and handling it has become TOOOO EXPENSIVE. You need to rethink your decision to continue to raise the prices on items that you QVC have exclusive rights to. I will NOT be purchasing anymore PHILOSOPHY from QVC. Just a note I recently purchased several philosophy products from the website, they always offer discounts and specials. I got 40% off the items I purchased. I WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE FOR A BODY SCRUB.

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH QVC AND YOUR PRICE RAISING!!!!!

Sincerely , Ms. Diamond

Re: RAISING PRICES ON PHILOSOPHY OLIVE OIL SCRUB

Wow! That really stinks. I like the olive oil scrub a lot. I purchased the Philosophy TSV in April which included the whipped body creme, the OO scrub and the eau de perfume spray for $88. I'm glad I did auto delivery. Maybe it would be a better deal for you to buy the set, even if it is a bit more than the TSV price.

Then buy it somewhere else. I am sure that there are other places where you can purchase this and get free shipping at the same time.

Re: RAISING PRICES ON PHILOSOPHY OLIVE OIL SCRUB

First, despite the OP's assertion, the product is available elsewhere. More importantly, even if this were a product exclusive to QVC, to expect a company to not raise prices as their costs increase is irresponsible in and of itself.

Prices have gone up on everything -- including the raw materials which go into such a product (have you bought olive oil lately?). Shipping costs have gone up (how much does gas cost in your area? Did the increase in shipping rates from UPS, FedEx, and the Post Office not apply to QVC?). It is simply the cost of doing business. As their costs increase, QVC cannot continue to absorb the extra costs. While it would be nice, it is unrealistic.

I would be disappointed if this were a product I really liked, too. In the end, though, it is not a necessity, and there are alternatives available. In addition to looking at competing products or homemade versions (yes, it is possible), simply check out the competition. In some cases, you will be able to find it at a savings as many online vendors do not have QVC's overhead.
