I ordered two different clothing items over the weekend from HSN. Received today in one package. Reduced shipping.

Every company has their own way of handling their business. I would just shop where you are happiest.

I know! I bought a 78lb. wood and metal kitchen cart from HSN and S&H was free and they gave me a coupon for 10.00 off to use on that item. The cart by the way is just what I wanted and is great quality.

I'm not sure when, but well after QVC lowered its s/h to $3.00 for clothing, HSN did the same. However, they still give half off the s/h of subsequent items and that is within a 24 hour period. It doesn't have to be the same order or the same item.
Prior to them lowering it to $3.00, HSN's s/h was very high on clothing.

Customer feedback and suggestions are invaluable to any business.
QVC recognizes this and has a "Suggestion Box" . The OP was merely taking the time to give her opinion, which I'm sure QVC appreciates.
I happen to agree with her. Even if I didn't, I appreciate hearing her perspective.
I strongly believe every person and business has room to grow. Progress and learning is a continual process. What worked before, may not suffice today because the environment is constantly evolving.
Feedback is imperative for any business to remain competitive and therefore critical to that business' survival.

Not only do they ship immediately, but the shipping is often free and when it is not, it is still less than on the Q. I also receive so many discount coupons that they send out in the mail or via email. For the holidays, there is always a 15% off ie 20% off email. The Q, which I have been shopping with since day one never gives any kind of incentive. They could learn a lot from HSN.

Exactly. I have never received a discount coupon from QVC. Never. Even though I used to spend a lot here. Never an incentive or a token of appreciation for loyal customers. Not even at least free shipping.
I just used a 25% off coupon from HSN to recently restock a beauty item I use.
But the only change QVC seems willing to make is to hire new hosts to replace old ones. QVC has no intention to offer sales or reduced pricing; just look at all the surprise flash easy pays they offer. Their business model remains to charge shipping on each item regardless of how much you spend and to adverstise easy pay opportunities as 'sales'.
Furthermore, I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but QVC has for a while been playing around with their pricing. I noticed that items in my wish list or things I purchased that were on clearance would suddenly go up in price for a while then go back down. This is a tactic used by Amazon. Clearance pricing on QVC is no longer dependable. One has to closely monitor purchases for price changes and ask for a price adjustment accordingly.
My advice is to try to buy less from QVC and look for comparable products elsewhere. QVC is no longer interested it seems in offering the lowest price. Easy pay is not a sale. Don't get swept up in the easy pay game. Money is power and if QVC wants our hard earned money, they need to do a better job to earn it.
However, a recent article I read stated that most of QVC's sales come from repeat buyers that purchase about 5 items per month. So QVC doesn't believe they have to hustle to get those sales like HSN and other retailers. QVC is not really trying to get new customers and has no incentive to please their loyal customers. QVC takes their repeat buyers for granted. Period.
Therefore, the only solution is for loyal customers to buy less and demand real sales. Shipping should be based on how much is spent. There is no need to pack everything in a separate package; that's bad for the planet and a waste of resources. Unless customers change first, QVC will never have the incentive to change. It will just be business as usual.
