In my view, it isn't so much of what host we prefer or can tolerate as the items QVC presents.  There is little of interest and they have the host spend long presentations on few things.  I agree the head office wants to put the weight on the hosts when they are asking them to sell things over priced, poor quality and junk!  They do have a few hosts that enjoy the attention but QVC has lost respect for their customers.  Most of us are inteligent and don't need to be told to wear p.j.s to shop or buy a kitchen item when we already accomplish what they think we need the item for.  I for one am sorry they didn't realize our value.

@matty liz   Agree.  QVC/HSN, et al are shopping channels-nothing more, nothing less.  I don't even know 90% of the hosts.  When something of interest is on, I might watch.  But the lack of variety, high prices and poor s/h has made me spend most of my money elsewhere.

Why would you watch a TV shopping channel that you feel does not value or respect you?  You don't have to actually view the show to shop.  You can look at it all on line OR go shopping in the stores and avoid the entire experience you find so distasteful.

Wow, I agree with you.  My thoughts were, I have enjoyed QVC for years and am sorry to see the possible demise.  I appoligize for not helping you see what I tried to say.  Try not to be ready see something not intended.

I would think most of us that actually shop here regularly are intelligent enough to know  sales tactics that probably encourage impulse buyers who also are big returners and ignore them and buy what we actually want.  I would think there are more like me that rarely watch anyway but are satisfied with their purchases here and rarely return any.  Those that are so dissatisfied can solve their problem by shopping places that are more to their liking and quit insisting that QVC needs to change to please them!!!

I do not understand why the hosts are allowed to buy the products before the product is shown or during the show.

That really gets under my skin and it shouldn't be allowed. Give the paying customers first crack at the products and then, if there's anything left, the hosts can have a turn.
