Re: QVC,, have you seen Evine???

@darlightSo what can I buy less expensively at Evine that is the quality of what I buy from QVC?    Mostly I see posts about their jewelry, something I have way too much of already.

@millieshops  I admittedly do not buy Evine clothing because it just looks cheap.  When they hold a garment up you can see right through it.  Most of their clothing looks like the rest of what they offer.  They have a long way to go to even come close to matching QVC quality.

When I spent $21. to have 3 little rings shipped to me in one brown envelope, I knew I was finished with them.

Re: QVC,, have you seen Evine???

All of those inexpensive garments at Evine look the same.  There's no distingushing from the three top brands which are always in rotation- One World, Indigo Thread and OSO Casual.  Shark bit hem.and hi-lo hems and print.

As to the camera work, HSN and Evine are still broadcasting in standard definition which why it's not as clear as QVC.  I would rather see a close up of the garment than the models.

QVC hands down wins in the production category.

IMHO

Their original retails are way too high, HSN, I mean.  I've been lucky to pick up the occasional item on sale, but have quit looking at them as a primary source except for free ship Benefit eye product days.  Evine is working out well for fashion tops and jewelry.

(bolded by me)  Yes!  This was always my observation.  I used to argue this with people here who would say what great sales they had (to no avail, however).   They will show an original or msrp type price that is massively inflated so that their 'sale' price looks really low.   Apparently, a lot of people are fooled by that.

But the reality is that their 'sale' price would usually be about mid-range of what the price should have been to begin with.

Then you have the general lack of quality of products they sell.

Not true for me.  You may not get it with our cable or sattelite carrier but I get HSN, Evine and QVC all in HD.  Q2 is not in HD and our cable company doesn't broadcast JTV in HD although it is available.

@kaydee50

As well as HSN having better Quality then Evine. Most of their items just comes off as cheap to me. (IMO)  I don't care about 6 easy pays on an inferior product and high Shipping cost.

I like Beekman 1802 line and that is about all that I care for from Evine.
