No one is assuming QVC is a lifeline, heaven only help us if it were... Changing the channel isn't the answer, many of those 'complaining' have already changed it. We'd like to enjoy watching QVC again, so we come here to the suggestion box forum to, well, make suggestions... Meanwhle, others seem to come here to indicate to us that we shouldn't be making suggestions. Gosh, I don't know, but I'm not thinking the concept of a suggestion box should require explanation...

I beg to disagree. People certainly acting like it is.
"Gosh, I don't know, but I'm not thinking the concept of a suggestion box should require explanation..."
I was thinking the same thing. Many of these threads don't even come close. It's "the glass is half empty" kind of mentality.
I hardly think the Q is perfect, my last to reviews were one star.

I find it hard to believe the Q is bringing in competitive sales with big box stores on electronics. I think what's happening is a case of LAZY PROGRAMMING. Come on, three hours of electronics, and Dooney & Bourke. Philosophy, the hours are sickening.. They're on all day and all night. If the Q is depending on 90% loyal customers, they're out of their minds if they think this programming is going to keep them. Their programming has been going down the toilet for a long while now. I think the Q has given up.

Lazy programming and lazy overall management. This is all the result of their very narrow branding approach, which they started a few years ago. At this point, this qwap is ALL they've got to sell... Somwhere along the line, management decided the way to go was to pick a handful of brands, show them relentlessly and sell them in volume. They still offer some (not as much as they used to, but some) variety on their website, but they only push a handful of brands on TV. One might surmise they've also cut deals with these brands and are not only making money from sales but from what is essentially infomercial production on behalf of the oft touted brands. We all know what they are, because they're on all the time: Dell, Serta, Philosophy, Wen, Vitamix, Kitchen Aid, Keurig, Dooney and Bourke, Dyson, It, and so on...

@stevieb @febe1 I am really confused abut QVC's direction.....what exactly are they going for?????? On one hand do they actually think that all this repetitiveness will attract the younger demographic which is always on the hunt "for the newest thing". And what about NEW customers----won't they move on after they make that one purchase, because after you bought "the one", then why would they continue to watch the SAME thing over and over (I think they would TURN THE CHANNEL LIKE most of us do) ...... Or is QVC just trying to squeeze all they can out of the tenured viewer and staunch member of QVC's "fan club" by using impulse buying techniques and sales gimmicks.......(just listen to the phone calls)......If I were a stockholder these are the questions I would ask QVC's Execs......

I hear that...
Last I looked, this forum is called 'Suggestion Box'. Some folks on this thread suggested less repetitive programming and a better mix of products. Who knows what the others are suggesting, other, perhaps than maintaining the rather stale status quo...
@stevieb I've seen many good points made in the Suggestion Box, and if VARIETY and UNIQUENESS are "off limits" then perhaps QVC should remove this topic altogether and perhaps replace it with other "interesting" topics that seem to have become a definite fixation and for which some seem they can't get enough of ---like TV REMOTE CONTROLS which seems to have become a definite hobby for some... ![]()

I feel the same way about posters who continually complain about everything and all the time.
CHANGE. THE. CHANNEL!! Q isn't a lifeline here.
@debic It isn't a lifeline ...... but defending QVC seems to have become a full time position...
It seems that each and every store I've shopped in recently has asked me to complete a survey on how they are doing as a retailer.....And in lieu of a survey this forum is a way we as QVC customers can express our opinion OR the alternative is QVC can face losing our business altogether.....and I think the fact QVC included this topic on their Forum speaks for itself...If they didn't want opinions it wouldn't be here!!

QVC has become nothing more than an informercial channel that sells air time to the same old, same old vendors.

PLEASE bust up the programing. Stop having the TSV on for a hour every other hour. Too much. Where are some silver shows. more new fashions etc. BOARING. Same products you have had for YEARS. Get rid of that tiring morning show showing the same ole products everyday. David has the same ole ****** on every WED and SUN. If you have all these products that you dont ever air. WHY NOT. Old viewers are tired of the old products you cant get rid of. PLEASE I love QVC but your programing and products need a overhaul.
