For me it wouldn't be about getting a "great deal" as to do that you would have to go to many different places and to get anything you might need would often require installing programs,  buying extras, etc and everyone doesn't have the knowledge nor do they want to spend time doing this!!  Next time I want a computer, laptop, tablet ect I will go with one of the shopping channels and save a lot of running around and trying to piece mill what I want.  Here I can pretty well get anything I might need included even if there are some things I won't use.  I don't have to waste my time then once I get it home and realize I need something else to do what I want!  It's not always about the lowest price for some of us as my time is more valuable than obsessing about "deals"!!   Also They sell electroncs and the stuff they do because that is where the money is.  Catering to those who are "bored' watching these presentations would probably cause them to loose money and as someone stated the "bored" probably aren't going to buy enough to make the huge profits electronics do!!!

@Pook  Oh really? and have you actually purchased a computer from QVC---well I made the MISTAKE of doing that......And after paying top dollar for this lap top it stopped working (it was past the 30 days) ....After numerous calls to their "wonderful" 24/7 support and being transferred around---only to get a supervisor's phone number and call only to get the message "mailbox full".....finally after calls to QVC Corporate (if they were as wonderful why would that call have even been necessary) anyway, I got a callback and they sent out an inhouse tech person 2 times, the 3rd time the tech person called Dell only to be told I'd have to send it back to Dell for repair.....after botching the pickup, it was sent back to Dell only to be returned even worse than what it was when I sent it.....after another call to QVC Corporate finally told I would receive a call from a supervisor to arrange a replacement computer......and 5 minutes until the call deadline I received a call from a snotty Dell employee giving me instructions for a replacement....after a long wait I FINALLY got a working one...IMAGINE THAT!!!!  After that "wonderful" experience I now go to Best Buy for all my computers, tablets, etc etc.....and no problems at all.... And all the "extras" they give you are joke....the accessories and software is silly and not even used by most people......  So be my guest Pook purchase all the eletronics QVC offers and I hope you have the same "wonderful" experience as I did......

I'd also add @Spurt, I've purchased my last four computers in person and had pretty solid experiences, the one computer I ordered online was a disaster. In my experience, those selling computers in stores have a better body of knowledge about a diverse offering of brands and features than any QVC host and they have NO vested interest in selling you one brand or specific machine over another. Moreover, they are quite capable of helping you decide what features and software you need and those you don't and only selling you what you will use, thereby not clogging up your processor with software that sits there unused, hogging up processing power.... I also found I could one stop shop, so the time investment was minimal and was worth it to me to get a machine that works for me and that doesn't require constant calls to 'support' that might or might not be helpful, and that doesn't require me to go back and forth between the entity that made it and the one that sold it... I'd also note the prices tended to be far better in stores. Thanks, but I'll stick with local stores for electronics and appliances.

@stevieb  Preciously and as you and I discovered in QVC's Financial Report (available at the Liberty Interactive website) they've mention continuously quarter after quarter the DECLINE in electronic sales...... so perhaps not as many are being purchased from QVC as some think ....

I'm pretty sure they sell a lot of them @Spurt., at least at this time of year, when people are desperate for presents. The question is how many of them stay sold... and how many of those who bought from them buy another...

That said, the number of tablets sold today didn't sound all that impressive as of early evening... Can we say 'saturation'?

For those who had a negative electronic experience here - well there are a certain low percentage of these that are problematic no matter where they are purchased but since they are top sellers then it's quite obvious that there are many more pleased with their purchases here.  I had a nightmare experience with an HP laptop and printer  purchased at Best Buy and a salesperson who tried to push extras that I knew I would never use on me at absorbatant prices!!  Nothing included at all and I ended up paying more for seperate purchased for what I wanted than if I would have bought one here.  The printer never worked right and I spent time taking it back to supposedly fix and in the end it I had to be send to HP m.yself because they had no fix  The laptop had more issues than I have time to state and it ended up being sent back directly to me again.  Best Buy was worthless.  Also had problems with Staples and a desktop I purchased years ago.  l know so many that have purchased desktops, laptops, tablets, etc here and none have ever had any issues and found the pc support offered to be excellent!!  I trust them and their experiences far more than I do a couple of anonomyous posters who make it their mission to criticize QVC!!

I distrust the few posters who always sing the praises of QVC constantly, make excuses for them, etc.

I hear that...

Last I looked, this forum is called 'Suggestion Box'. Some folks on this thread suggested less repetitive programming and a better mix of products. Who knows what the others are suggesting, other, perhaps, than maintaining the rather stale status quo...

Well @Spurt, it appears our 'mission' has been discovered... Of course, there also seems to be a mission afoot to be ever-vigilant in defending QVC, always and no matter what...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, my point of view is that of a customer and so my shopping experience is my priority. Neither what's 'best' for QVC nor QVC's bottom line are my priorities.

I feel the same way about posters who continually complain about everything and all the time.
