QVC Bridge Shopping Experience

QVC offers a shopping experience that is a bridge between brick and mortar and online shopping. I much prefer shopping in a physical store where I can touch fabrics, try on clothing and shoes, see true colors and test cosmetics, not to mention smell perfumes and candles. QVC offers a chance to at least see products demonstrated and modeled rather than just a flat image on a computer.

Life's circumstances create the QVC customer. Customers may live in an isolated area or small town, have health issues or mobility problems, dislike in store shopping, or just prefer to shop from home. As long time customers "age out" new customers "age in." Trying to appeal to new demographics is understandable, but not at the expense of abandoning the people, products, and service that brought your original success.

Be careful not to burn the bridge that you have been throughout the years. Remember to dance with the ones who brought you.

Do you think they're abandoning their long-term, loyal customers?  In what ways?

For some shoppers, I think QVC has already burned that bridge.

Burned it and cleared the debris.

I'm in my 70's and have been here since 1996.  I don't feel ignored at all.  What bridges are you talking about?

The Q sure came in handy during the pandemic.

For a long time, I wouldn't want to touch anything (any surface, including clothing) in stores.

Thank goodness, things look as though they calmed down, in-person store-wise.

People in general have done a great job, keeping their hands sanitized, wearing

masks, etc.

Hoping for the best possible outcome.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@On It

I've been shopping here since 1989.  I used to buy all sorts of things from pots and pans, cosmetics.  One rainy Sunday, years ago, I bought all sorts of food items from crab cakes, Corky"s ribs, and even Juniors cheesecakes!  Never again!

Now, it seems, I primarily buy clothing:  D and C, Isaac, and I tried Kim Gravel as well.

As I write, I am wearing a pair of shorts I bought online from Costco and a top from D & C.  I have  on a pair of vionic sandals I

bought on Zulily.  I think the last time I went into a store to buy clothing was a trip to JJill about 3 years ago.

I much prefer online or QVC shopping.  I don't return very many items,  I know how my size runs in each vendor's clothes.

I do order from LLBean and Lands End., but less frequently.  For gifts, I almost always order from these two because returning is really easy, and the styles appeal more to my daughter-in-laws and grandchildren.

I would prefer faster shipping, but it is not a deal breaker for me.

Lands End and LLBean are slow like QVC.
