Q Card Suggestion

[ Edited ]

I do not have the Q card and here is why:  extra easy pay is not enough of an incentive.  If Q wants to stay competitive with other retailers, they need to reward their customers who spend a certain amount (what ever they determine) with free shipping and free returns and/or special sales for Q card holders, such as coupons, etc.  My favorite retailer does this and I tend to go back and buy from them (especially clothing) because I get free shipping and returns.  You have to use their credit card and they keep track of your yearly spending.  If you spend below the yearly minimum, you lose the benefit.  This retailer has a store where I can make a return in person, or you can mail back with their pre-paid label which is free. They have flash sales for their premier card holders who get an extra percent off, etc.  They make it advantagous to shop with them!

I have stopped buying clothing from Q because of the cost of returns.  I do not like to keep something that does not fit right, or an expensive purse that I buy sight unseen and don't care for, just because of the high cost of returns.  Therefore, I find myself buying less and less from the Q.

So, make the Q card more appealing with free shipping, and maybe I will come back.

I agree, extra easy pays are no incentive. Other retailers offer free shipping and 1-5% cash back on purchases. Extended easy pays are just not competitive with those other retailers.

easy pay is no incentive for me either. I like paying off my cc at the end of the month. I would get a Q card if it came with free shipping and free returns.

I refuse to get a Q card because of the bank they have chosen to be the card.  This same bank was the 'care credit' card bank for my pets care at vet.  I originally got that card because it was a 'pay within a certain time' and no interest.  I found that they kept assigning little fees here and there, despite following the rules for the card.  I cancelled and refuse to be associated with them. When I saw that this was the bank for the Q card, that ruled it out for me.  I don't trust them at all.

ITA! I have had a Q card for YEARS way before all the so called incentives were offered. The original reason I got a Q card in the first place was because it was easier to track my purchases. And in ALL the years I have had a Q card you think they would send a FREE shipping offer or even a DISCOUNT offer NO! Now the reason it's easier to track is because I do not purchase the quantity of anything from the Q. For me it really started to change when they started NOT to refund the original shipping and from there my purchases declined, I really think  that's one of the biggest rips, especially when you can on line shop many sites that offer more in free shipping in a variety of ways. The easy pay on my Q card doesn't influence my shopping on the Q IN THE LEAST!  Now FREE shipping or a DECENT discount would help change that!!!!

That return free thing they started several months ago is also a joke, I tried it once - NEVER again, the whole process takes the better part of a month, I actually hurried the process a little BUT it took me 5 phone calls before I found a "SMART" rep. The Q's problem with that is they actually have to have it back in the fulfillment center, the tracking # is not sufficient for the Q, it is for HSN but not the Q.

ITA with free shipping. Who needs the e-z pays that does not save us any money. I use it sometimes if offered but I don't need it. I pay my balance each month because I'm not paying interest.

I have the Q card so if Q gets hacked the Q card can only be used at Q not all over the internet. Since I still have my card & it's not out there lost if Q gets hacked Q would be responsible for the loss not Synchrony Bank.

I agree ,as an extra easy pay is not worth using it. I used to use it often. I use  Evine  card when. they  offer free  shipping for SKINN or Waterford  Crystal . I also pay off the  monthly  balance. I recall when Q had limited Easy  Pay offers a special card sent to you etc.  Most items I order are already on Easy Pay. I use  my cash back  CC.

@graciesmom1003.   I'm with you on your opinion of Sychrony Bank.  It seems they skirt the limits on ethical business practices.  I had them with an account at Evine and couldn't even access my account.  I opened an account with Wal-Mart last Black Friday to get a $30. Credit on a TV I was buying.  It turned out to be a MasterCard with Sychrony.  I paid it off the day I got it and never activated the card.  They were upset about that

I saw a list of companies that use Sychrony Bank and it seemed to include every major retailer....dozens of companies.

I have an amazon card and I get 5% back when I use it,   It pretty much pays for the membership.

Why is it people don't realize the Q is doing them a favor?  Don't come back, stay where you are.  Keep your money!!!
