When one decides to go into the broadcasting field, which includes a career as a Shopping Channel Host, appearance is important and comes with the territory....and according to reports, these hosts get handsomely compensated for it too...
The host's job is to entice the viewer to buy merchandise and present the product in the most flattering, advantageous way.......What a turn off it is to see a host model jewelry or another item with dirty nails..... I mean come on clean nails are just basic hygiene...and if they cant keep up the fake nails, then they shouldn't even bother with them.....And if viewers don't want to see dirty nails they DO know how to turn the channel, but to QVC that means less sales and that means their revenues will continue to decline in jewelry and other categories....is that a good thing???🤔

Pardon the pun, but .................

I was shocked that Alberti was on the air this morning without socks. QVC managers need to enforce a professional dress code. I am also tired of self tanning mistakes by some of these hosts (blotchy). Don't these people have styling consultants before they go on air ?

@Reever I don't see a problem with Alberti and no socks. I see Jane Treacy putting on shoe after shoe with bare feet.

I would respond about this silly comment but it would get "poofed"

Please look at the bigger picture. Yes it IS the hosts decision to go to a salon for hair/nails. Maybe they can afford to take the risk but someone in their family may be at serious risk. Right now both my daughter and brother are being treated for cancer. It is not just covid that can threaten their lives. I never want to be the one who brings home a potentionally killing illness. And many of the hosts are not in the vaccine cohort yet and eligible for vaccination.

Thank you sherrikay!!! These hosts ARE just like the rest of us, trying to get through the days the best they can. Wouldn't it be funny if we could get a look at all of the people who are here bashing how someone else looks? LOL

That must be a new trend along with ripped jeans, ripped sweaters and the awful side-tuck. UGH!!!!!
