Re: Please stop using the UPS/ USPS tradeoff for delivery

Yes, exactly! When my packages get handed off to the post office, it adds a very long time to the shipping and I have no idea where it is or when it will show up. If it ever shows up...

USPS shipping partner Newgistics has been discussed here several times.  I know I explained everything at least 5 times now.

@Kachina624 also discussed it based on what she learned from her Postmaster.

Why aren't members interested in reading what we posted here?  Instead they continue to return with the same complaints clearly not knowing what is going on.

UPS takes packages to a certain destination, then Newgistics picks them up and takes them to one of their facilities where they might sit up to 2 plus weeks before actually delivering them to USPS.  Sometimes, they do get them to USPS on time.

Your delays are not caused by USPS.  That info is coming from my Postmaster who told me the PO processes packages as soon as they are received.  No sitting around overnight or over 2 weeks.

If your notification from USPS doesn't say your package has been "Accepted" by the PO, the package was not delivered to your PO.

Newgistics uses fancy (deceptive) wording to make you think your package was delivered.

If you want to use more accurate tracking, enter tracking number at Ship24.com.  There are more notifications there than we get from QVC, UPS, and USPS.  Newgistics usually hides behind USPS rather than using it's real name.  Scroll down to see all the shippers involved in your delivery.

@SeaMaiden ........ I agree this tradeoff system causes ridiculous delays.  I know because they use it every time for my purchases. Cat Mad

@Foxxee ....edited after reading your post.... I'm not blaming the P.O.  I just wish the Q would send me my items via the P.O. and I'd get them quickly.  Wasn't sure what others are complaining about. Cat Happy

@kindred cats

Do I understand your reply correctly?  You'd rather the PO shipped your packages?

Sending them via the PO is the problem when ordering from QVC.  QVC uses Mail Innovations and Surepost to save money.

USPS hired Newgistics to deliver its packages to your local PO.

If there is a delivery delay to your PO, your packages might be sitting from a few days to over 2 weeks at a Newgistics facility before they are delivered.

UPS picks up the packages from QVC's warehouses, drives them a longer distance to an UPS facility close to your house. There, Newgistics picks them up to deliver to your PO.  UPS is not the problem.

USPS using Newgistics to deliver "the last mile" (more than a mile, of course), causing the delays is the problem.

The best shipping method for all of us is UPS pick up and delivery directly to our house.

You can get UPS to deliver all Sureposts, packages over 2 lbs.  Sign up for UPS My Choice Plus for $19.99 a year.

If you buy mostly lightweight items like clothing and jewelry under 2 lbs, membership won't be to your advantage.

Re: Please stop using the UPS/ USPS tradeoff for delivery

Honestly, it's no different than going to a grocery store these days.  They have 20 check out lanes with REAL cashiers and only two of them are in operation.  All of the self check out lanes are open with one person overseeing all of them.  The machines never work right, alarms go off left and right...it's all about money.  Everyone want to save money and do the cheapest thing possible to accomplish this.

I think if I have to check myself out at a grocery store, I should get paid for doing so.  It's the stores job to check out customers, not the customers jobs!  No wonder people steal left and right at the self check outs, they are getting their "discounts" one way or the other.  Smiley LOL

@Foxxee .......... Yes, I usually order a random piece of clothing, nothing heavy or big.

I didn't know the P.O. was the problem.  My average wait time to receive orders is 2 weeks give or take.

Thanks, I think I understand now. Cat Happy

@kindred cats

Just to make clear...the only problem with USPS is they partnered with Newgistics, a third party shipper.  USPS and your local Post Office are not responsible for the delays.

Newgistics is responsible because they hold on to packages sometimes a long time in their facilities before they are delivered to your local Post Office.

Re: Please stop using the UPS/ USPS tradeoff for delivery

I have never received two orders between UPS and USPS deliveries. They just disappeared. So now I am wondering each time I place an order if it makes it to my house.
