I received my handbag cookie jar today and immediately unpacked it. It's beautiful and I love the design and color. I bought the Old World Confetti. After reading some of the reviews, other women are wanting or asking for the same seal. Besides the lid clanging as you put it in place - one lady said it best. The lack of a seal means air can get in and will not keep the cookies fresh (or dry) in humid conditions. I agree. I'm not sure if I will keep or return it - and wait for a version with a seal on it. I could probably put Glad Wrap that clings to things on it - before adding the lid - but that defeats the purpose - of keeping it for a long time.
