Please STOP with telling us to.....

For weeks, the latest thing the hosts must be told to say is about "Check out NOW, someone can take it out of your cart and you'll miss out."  It's extremely annoying and makes me turn the channel. Not sure if they are doing to push sales, but it's doing the opposite. Kerstin is especially irritating with this. She will not stop saying it every 4th sentence. ENOUGH!

This is because some people think that if they leave an item(s) in their cart, it will stay there. They complain hours later upon finding their cart is empty. It is said for good reason.

They could be saying it just so people know carted things aren't protected, and could disappear.

Items are held in the cart for one hour.  I've never had anything removed.  I feel certain the performance of the hosts is judged on the number of units sold while they are on air, thus the push to get you to check out.  In Kristen's case, I'd deliberately wait until the next hour to order.

If you really want the item then put it in your cart & CHECK OUT for goodness sake .... if you don’t check out it will stay in your cart for an hour or so & then go back into stock .... in the meantime there might be someone out there that really wants the item & cant get it because you are undecided & holding on to it in your cart ... be kind & think of other shoppers 🙃

@Kachina624 - I'm not sure it's true anymore that things stay in your cart for an hour. I've had a couple of times recently where, when I went to checkout within the hour, that I got a message that an item was sold out.

 

 I figured that QVC has been brought into line with HSN's practice.  This may be why the hosts are stressing to checkout as soon as possible now.

@January121  Well maybe someone doesn't want to impulse buy and wants an hour to think about it especially  since we are hardly able to cancel orders any more and we don't get our shipping and handling costs returned any more like we did for many years.
