Please...Hire a host with a soft voice and manners

These days, very, very few of your hosts cannot do a presentation, without screaming,or talking over their vendors.I would like to suggest, hiring a soft spoken host, and see how your sales do for that time period.I can assure you, many of us would watch...and whats more important BUY! I have been a customer for years.I have seen many changes ,some good, some not. What I have seen lately, are hosts without manners.Maybe the laughing, dancing and screaming, sells merchandise. It must,or you would advise your hosts,to speak softer and use their manners!I still watch once in awhile, but not like I once did.

Totally agree. Being a long time shopper (over 20 years), I just have to say that this young host Courtney on PM Style, her personality does not compliment the show nor Lisa. At times her comments are lacking sense and professionalism towards Lisa and the viewers.

I buy for the item I,m looking for now, or the vendor. The host has nothing to do with it for me I will go online, read the reviews and description. Young people and most of the new ones are young ,have voices that are irritating. I wonder if the older folks in our day felt the same? The difference is we had manners. It,s not lack of manners just on the Q.

Talk about hyper loud and fast talking hosts, did you watch that TSV with LR presenting that Roma bag, now that was some crazy double talking.

She also tends to talk to the models and others on the set and laugh at what I can only guess are "inside jokes". That's rude.

Yes. That's her schictk. Can't stand it. (There's also a host duo on Monday and Friday AM who laugh at things and I have no idea what they are laughing at. That gets old.)

That must be Jayne Brown and Pat. I quit watching as all they do is giggle and talk about stuff that has no bearing on the items they are selling. I find I'm seldom watching QVC anymore and I formerly had it on most of the time even if just for "background." No watching/no buying. QVC should have kept Dave James--he had such a calm and pleasant manner about him and a very nice voice that wasn't irritating like some.

Oh, THANK YOU for mentioning Jane & Pat! I have always liked Jane Brown when on her own, but Jane & Pat together are so unprofessional & irritating. And, if you notice, Jane is the one who carries the show. Pat just sits there like a huge lump, usually slumped in her chair, and then occasionally, like she's a Turret's victim, rambles on a mile a minute with sizing information that is usually so poorly delivered that it's totally incomprehensible. Yup, that's usually her big contribution to the show, sizing gibberish. I HATE it when she does that. If she can't be bothered to say it in an understandable manner then why say it at all?! Furthermore, I don't need to know what sizes are available in every single color. I'll figure out what's available in my size when I go to order. It's like they had to come up with a made-up task for her to do. Pretty sad too that she usually can't even be bothered to sit up in her chair.

I find that not only does Pat do nothing to contribute to the show, she detracts from it. When Jane is with Pat, it seems that most of Jane's usual professionalism and focus on the product goes right out the window. Sometimes I sit there for 5-minutes waiting for them to talk about the item on the screen but they never do. They're too busy giggling and rudely discussing things that have nothing to with the item or the viewer. And then it's on to the next item as the screen changes while they're still having their own private conversation. Throw Linda Davie's into the mix and things deteriorate even more. ...Why do we need two hosts (sometimes three with Rachel) on air for a morning clothing show? Any other time, all we get is one host presenting the clothing. This tag team approach in the mornings is unnecessary & just plain awful.

Being an enthusiastic show host is one thing....acting childish like a chipmunk on speed is something else!!! I.E. Shawn....Courtney....Jacqee G......Sharon....and the list goes on.

Ugh, Shawn is the worst! Yay QVC, let's celebrate illiteracy! So insulting to the viewer.

...I used to love Lisa Mason, Dave James, Jonathan Redmond, & Lenah MacElwane.

...I still appreciate Carolyn & Jill. Both are very articulate & thorough & it feels like they're really working hard on the viewer's behalf.

...As for the newer hosts, the only one I truly love is Kerstin.

...Jayne Brown who I used to feel was one of the best has really gone down hill. And, Courtny was surprisingly good in the middle of the night when she first started but in the last 6 months has gotten as silly and unprofessional as Shawn, Jacque, & Jane R. Treacy . I won't be watching much going forward.

I agree, Dave James was wonderful! As was Jonathan. They were both calm, well-spoken, & extremely professional. They both worked very hard to deliver as much information about the product as they possibly could while still being really pleasant to watch & listen to. ...As BonnieBell suggested, maybe QVC should try hiring people who are QUALIFIED for the job.

Your so right about Jayne,Pat, and Rachel Show.....they giggle and talk about everything and anything but the merchandise.....and then there's their "all important" Facebook question....And then Jayne has the nerve to say if you want to get more info on product check it out online.....so tell me isnt that the purpose of having a QVC TV channel to showcase and tell all about their products on air....or is it to provide a fun time for QVC hosts....hmmmmm{#emotions_dlg.glare}

And I agree about Dave James....they lost a gem of a host

Oh Spurt, you said it! I totally agree. ...Why does it require 2 or 3 hosts to present clothing in the mornings when at any other time of the day it's only one host presenting fashions? Pathetically, the three hosts you mentioned, even together, can't manage to get the job done.

...UGH, and Jane Brown saying 'for more details check out the product online.' If I wanted to check out the product online, I wouldn't have wasted my time watching it on TV!!! I shouldn't have to 'look up the product online'. It's her job to present it! Everything I need to know should be provided in the on-air presentation. And there'd certainly be plenty of time for that if she & Pat would act like sales professionals rather than 6th graders at sleep-away camp.

...Jane Brown used to one of the better hosts but now she's just gotten incredibly lazy in her presentations, as have many of the others. They don't give pertinent details, they don't fully show the products, and apparently they're only there to enjoy themselves and collect a big fat paycheck at our expense. ...And the "Facebook Question of the Day", WHO NEEDS IT???!!!!! And then when Pat regularly can't even seem to correctly read the question of the day or correctly read the answers they've gotten to it, it is absolutely mind-numbing. For that matter, even when she manages to read them correctly, it's mind numbing. ...QVC & its hosts are now focused on everything BUT the products they're trying to sell us. Quite insulting to the consumer that they expect us to just blindly open our wallets or jump through hoops to learn about the items they want us to buy.

My feeling is that they are working on a management edict to be hyper. I'm doubtful that any of them started out this way. As has been stated many times before, probably why someone like Lisa Mason left.

I agree. Several of the hosts have changed their selling styles over the past few years to an excited, frenetic, over the top manner. Hard to watch.

I agree with the other viewers - most of the hosts are loud and annoying! Even when I want to watch a particular presentation, if the host is obnoxious, I turn QVC off. Also, why are they continually out of my favorite Denim & Co. items (i.e., the jeggings and the new petite French terry tunic?). PLEASE QVC, bring these items back in stock. I check if they are available every week. Because the hosts are so annoying, I usually just check stock on items I am interested in.

I agree with points made. I seldom watch the Morning Show any more. Pat D. was such a great host years ago, but now all she does is giggle constantly.
