I've just gone in and canceled my A/D that I've had going since 2008.  This morning I sprayed my AG (supposed) eau de parfum on my wrists and base of my throat before going out.

It had an unpleasant smell at first (this is a new bottle)  but within half an hour there was nothing.  I remember still being able to smell the soft fragrance of it when I was going to bed at night!  Right now...nothing.  That's enough to convince me that I'm wasting my money.

So......waving goodbye to that "ship that has sailed".  Not only am I not buying any more AG, I'm not buying any more Philosophy products either.  There are better brands out there for less money.

When Coty bought the company, the quality went out the window.

I broke up with Philosophy earlier this year and just used up the last bottle in my stash. First, the quality died, and when I was researching Philosophy I realized Coty is not cruelty free. That was too much for me

I've stopped buying philosophy products earlier this year. I'm using up my stash but won't buy anymore.

I used to love their products, but like other posters stated, there has been a definite change in quality. Smiley Sad

I too loved all the Grace Fragrances but slowly started to realize they no longer smelled the same of lasted as long. I have since switched to NEST line of fragrances. I purchased the small bottles that came in an a box.. a sampling of all the scents. There was a definite learning curve getting use to them. I get what people are saying about them. They are different. I have gotten so many compliments on what I'm wearing. I was waiting for my son to arrive from his study abroad program at the international arrival gates...I noticed a guy looking at me from time to time....kind of a nreve wracking feeling especially nowadays in an airport!! Long story short he finally came up to me and said everytime he either walked by me or I walked by him....he loved the smell of my perfume and wanted to know what it was and where could he buy it!"

I used to love Philosophy Falling In Love.  My last purchase was about a year ago, came with a super size Perfume, Shower Gel and Body Butter.  First, the perfume didn't last even to the car in the morning.  I sprayed a lot on too.... asked DH how he liked it, he got close and said he couldn't smell it.  I went back and sprayed more on and he caught some of it but it doesn't last.  The old formula was wonderful.

The Body Butter smelled great in the jar, and I used about half the jar when I no longer noticed ANY scent.  So I thought I'd cap the jar for a couple of days and when I opened it.... nothing.  NOTHING.  It was like a jar of whipped lard... no scent..

The Shower Gel smelled wonderful, the scent was great but it didn't last and using all three of these products did not help the scent of the perfume.

I will not buy Philosophy again.  Period.  Too expensive to pretend I'm smelling good~!!

@Q4u - FIL was my other favorite, so that's gone for me as well.

And, I used to buy Inner Grace but, of course, they simply discontinued that after repeated assurances that it wouldn't be!

I have to say that this new bottle of AG that I'm using now is so "unfragranced" that I'm tempted to send it somewhere to be analyzed!  Because there is absolutely no way it's an eau de parfum, no matter what it says on the bottle.  I sprayed it about three times this morning just to see if it would smell like anything at all.  I might as well have been spraying water.

No regrets at all about cancelling my longstanding A/D; just wish I'd done it before I received this most recent set.  Too late now to return it or I definitely would.

I think by law that to label something "perfume" it has to have a certain percentage of oils in the formula....  But I'm concerned that the expensive oils that you're supposed to use to do this aren't lincluded in the new formula and are suspect.... getting this "perfume" analyzed might be a very good idea.  Woman Wink

I was a Pure Grace fan and wore it for years and loved it.  Then it changed.  I don't like many scents so after a few mistakes I am now using Cashmere Mist.

@DiAnne - If I'm not mistaken, Pure Grace was one of the fragrances that disappeared for quite a while, then they made a big deal out of "it's back"!  I'm sure it only came back after Coty managed to find a cheaper way to produce it.

I feel bad because, a while ago when I still had some of the "real" AG, a man asked me what I was wearing so he could get some for his wife, because "you smell so beautiful".  So I wrote it down for him, stressing it was the eau de parfum.  I did tell him that the company had changed hands, so I couldn't guarantee anything.  I hate to think of him wasting his money!  Smiley Sad

I remember Field of Flowers.  I just finished a Field of Flowers hand soap and hand cream duo that QVC offered a long time ago.  It sold for about $28.00.  I loved this item.  Philosophy offers now are too high priced for me.  All Philosophy cares about it seems are high priced items.
