First suggestion: QVC has announced they will no longer mail out paper Program Guides in order to be more ecologically responsible. Is this the same company that, when you order multiples of the same item, sends each item in separate packaging? For example, I ordered a sterling silver magnetic clasp in the quantity of 4. I received 4 different order numbers for each one, and they all arrived in separate packaging. The total weight of all 4 items was under 3 ounces, but the mailing packages w/o the items weighed over 3 pounds! Are you kidding?? Why not follow the practices of your sister mail-order stations and send everything in one package, but still add the shipping charges for each item? I've never heard complaints about this on the other stations, but have heard plenty of complaints about QVC's mailing practices. Please don't lie and say you're doing it to be more responsible. You're doing it to save money, no matter the inconvenience to your customers. Please reconsider and continue mailing the Program Guides. Yes, programming changes and we need to check this on your site, but having the Program Guides is a good starting point.

Second suggestion: PLEASE stop putting in the packing slips first and then cramming the box with the item on top of them. 70% of the packing slips can't be used because of this sloppiness. I'm constantly having to print new return labels in order to return an item, a very ecologically irresponsible practice.

Third suggestion: Please take another tip from your sister mail-order stations and include a packing slip that considers return reasons for each of the items in a combined mailing. When you send 3 items in one package (only because the items ship directly from the provider's warehouse), we're very grateful, but there's no way to indicate how many and which of the items is being returned, nor can we submit different reasons for each of the items.

Fourth suggestion: Please stop substituting your own flimsy packaging for certain lines that supply their own packaging, i.e. Honora Pearls, Eternagold, etc. I order items to give as gifts, but I don't order them gift-wrapped because of your limited quality control and I want to make sure the pieces are as advertised. When I order from a line with their own packaging, it's ready to be gifted, but when you substitute your own cheap packaging, I then have to scramble for gift packaging.

Fifth suggestion: When I order a $5000.00 item, I expect good packaging, not the stuff you normally use, and worst of all is when I receive an item rattling around loosely in the fiber bag with NO plastic packet or box to hold it in place!

Fifth suggestion: About 10% of the time, I'll receive my item with someone else's packing slip and my slip missing. This has been happening a noticeable amount of the time lately. Please hire enough workers so that you can at least pretend there's some QC going on. What are your customers without computers supposed to do? And I wonder who's getting my information, i.e. name, address, details of my order, customer number, which charge card I used, etc.

First suggestion: Since you are so obviously displeased with QVC and have many, many issues, shop elsewhere.

To KYToby: I have stopped. Do you know what happens when a frequent shopper stops? They send you notices (and sometimes even telephone you) asking what they can do to get your business back. They suggested the suggestion box, so that's what I did.

I think the OP made many valid points. I also have received a package with someone else's packing slip. Like the OP, I also worry about who has my private information.

I honestly have to say that I purchase from many on-line stores and QVC is the only one that has made this mix-up. I'm sure like most companies quality control has slipped because there are too few people having to do too much work. I don't blame the workers.

Again... Really?

But OP, environmental concerns only go SO far... You see, when their lofty concern for the environment can translate into money saved like those chintzy boxes jewelry now comes in... or deep-sixing guides and the Insider then they're all far it... On the other hand, when a serious commtment might tamper with revenue generated (like missing out on some of those multiple shipping charges for items shipped separately), well, then, not so much...
