I recently saw an ad for QVC that boasts they have 1,000's of items never showcased on air.    Considering we have all seen pj's, tshirts, pull on jeans why not showcase some of these items that we never knew you carry.    Go out on a limb and present new offerings!

@Boomernichols.  The reason you never see many of the items QVC has online is the type of contract the vendor has with them.

Naturally it costs a lot more to market an item live with a host than it does to just post it online, and they have to have large quantities available.  You must also hire and train a brand ambassador.

That's why you'll never see many thing presented on-air.

In addition to what @Kachina624 said above, it gives customers more reasons to check the website.  I check "new items" a few times a week.  

The items that don't make it on air are also usually more expensive than regular items.  Last week Pat had a beautiful Nic & Zoe blouse on during a show.  It was shown in a little box on the screen and in the list of items recently on air.  Within 30 minutes of the show, I saw a post saying QVC was crazy to expect anyone to buy a $135 blouse.  One more reason they offer other lines, but have to be careful with airing them.

Adding to @Kachina624 and @Tori3569 comments, many items have a very limited supply. Therefore, they won't present them on air. Many times I have heard hosts state they won't show a specific item because quantities are limited. 

Browse the website when you have free time.You'll find 1000's of items that you haven't seen aired.

I think it could only benefit QVC to showcase some of never before seen items. Even if it's only a two minute presentation. To me that could break up the monotony of the droning on with the TSV. And for those not watching they could then be featured online as a recently aired item, getting them more views. No brand ambassador would be needed. Just a few quick camera shots and graphics with item number, name, and price. 

Similar to what they do when host mention specific clothes or shoes they're wearing.

I've seen plenty of items on line that I would be interested in. Sometimes it's helpful to at least see a video of the item.
