Notify customers when there is a shipment delay and let us canx the overdue shipment!

I have 2 overdue auto-deliveries and I was planning to take them with me on vacation. .  CS stated it was because of tech glitches in Orlando shipping.  I cannot cancel them, nor can customer service.

In the future:

1. Notify customers of such delays.

2.  Allow customer service/customers to cancel the orders rather than having them stuck in limbo or show up at the customer's doorstep when they are on vacation (yes, I forward mail but not UPS and USPS doesn't always get it right).

I agree but not only QVC but other retailers.  I ordered several items from Blair.  After 2 weeks I contacted them and they told me they were having problems with their distribution center.  I said then cancel the items and lo and behold within 24 hours the items had shipped.

I would have ordered more since they are having super duper sales but it is wrong not to be informed of a delay in shipping.

@ClareMarie.  I've never seen a QVC order shipped from Orlando.  The CS reps see the exact information you see on "order status".

ITA QVC!! Notify the customer. My order on 4/29 is still in process. When I called CS was told of a computer problem in the Ontario site. How long is this going to last? Customers need to be notified of when to expect their order!!!! This is basic customer service QVC!!!

I'm going to post this in Customer Care.

@ClareMarie. They used to call me and leave a message or more recently email. Ask you to cancel if you do not want to wait. I had that happen on the Victoria Jackson foundation a couple of months ago and I cancelled.

Yes!!!!!I just had that happen on a Victoria Jackson Foundation, I ordered and received the wrong shade, sent it back for the correct shade, and was told it would ship right out, after a month I am still waiting, and of course after many calls I find out the shad I need is now waitlisted.....They will not let me cancel.

I even went on her site and ordered the correct shade, have it and have been wearing it , but QVC said I can't cancel, if I don;t want it when it comes send it back.....

This is the 1st time I have had poor customer service from them! They need to get this fixed!!!!

You all are overestimating the power a company has over shippers and delivery services.

Right now I am expecting two packages, stated to be delivered today by USPS.

Today it is raining, which means my mail carrier might not show up!

She does not always like to come out in the rain or other bad weather.

The company has ZERO control over her actions.

One time my QVC delivery fell off the UPS truck somewhere. The company CANNOT control poor delivery practices.

Even Fed Ex will take their time every once in a while.

I am always overjoyed when something arrives on schedule--because I usually expect the worst!

A shipment from Orlando sounds like Anastasia Confections,  which is headquartered and fulfills orders from there.

If it's not from a QVC fulfillment center I don't think QVC is to blame.

Ontario, not Orlando. As in Ontario, California.

I don't know where you shop but my shipments from other retailers always arrive when the tracking says it will. If not the exact day, then the next day.

QVC's s&h is poor. How long have they been in business and yet they don't know how to notify customers and give expectations on when the order will be delivered? NO EXCUSES!!!
