His presentations are refreshing. He doesn't say the same old canned phrases that so many do. The men's clothing show was fun to watch, beside he would look good in anything.

@ElliePhant It looks like you are single handedly trying to get him fired. Did you have to dis him twice in the same thread?

I was able to watch TJ for the first time today briefly and I really enjoyed what I saw.  He was very personable, enthusiastic,  and explained the product thoroughly.   He interacted very well with the vendor and he let the vendor talk without interruption.

Looking forward to seeing more of TJ.

Re: New host TJ

[ Edited ]

TJ has a very warm personality and he's easy on the eyes- I watched him present electric bikes and he was genuinely having fun riding around the studio with the brand rep.  I'd like to see TJ do a total gym presentation- he's handsome, athletic and could really excel at presenting sports related items.  Sure, TJ is a new host and sometimes needs his cards for reference, but all of these seasoned QVC professional hosts were in TJ's place once needing guidance at the beginning.  I'm rooting for TJ Smiley Happy

I've tried getting used to him but it's difficult. I think he tries too hard and he doesn't have too, he already got the job! As others mentioned previously it's his unpreparedness that is off putting so he (my opinion) turns everything into a joke. The over the top "my best friend in the whole wide world" comments are unnecessary. I tried getting thru his poo-pourri presentation and it was borderline gross. Yes, I know what it's for. Every host has presented this without going into detail surrounding its effectiveness but not him. He gave us a play by play Friday (a movie) comparison. More time learning the products, the pronunciation & less on his bodily functions will suffice.

The three female hosts hired along with him are wonderful.  They are very comfortable in front of the camera and prepared.  Quite frankly, they don't come off as being "new" at all.  This on  air selling gig comes very naturally for them.  He looks nervous, reads the card and hearty laughs through the presentations.  I like that he is upbeat but I think the laughing is a coping mechanism.

@Suneshine - I totally agree! I think people like him because he's friendly and fun, but he actually seems to take pride in not being prepared for any of his presentations, which is very annoying. He and the vendors say they've chatted ahead of time, but either he's not paying attention or maybe he's trying to hone some kind of goofy schtick as a trademark. I had high hopes for him initially, thinking that as a former actor he'd soon be able to memorize at least a few product details so he didn't spend so much time reading from the cards, but that area hasn't improved at all—even with products he has presented more than once. He's right on the edge of being an instant channel changer for me.

On a positive note, as you so rightly mentioned, the ladies hired at the same time are doing quite well; one of them is still a bit awkward and forced about half the time, but she is still professional and prepared. Overall, a good new group.

Count me among his admirers!!!🥰 I concur with the numerous accolades! He just needs a little more polishing, and he will be great. He is indeed a welcome breath of fresh air!!😁
