Can you please get the following information to the appropriate QVC department...

I purchase quite a bit from QVC and from/through your wonderful show. I live in Alaska and they are charging air shipping costs when they don't need to and it's costing a bloody fortune. I bought the Temptaions cart today and they charged 68.20 to shiip, I also purchased a few weeks ago the grill/smoker from your show and they chaged 168.00

They probably don't know or realize that you can ship UPS Ground to Alaska and when it reaches Seattle it actually then comes to us via air but without the air shipping cost...

There's no reason to pay for and ship air here when you can ship ground and then it does come air

Just give a UPS office a call, or call our local UPS here in Wasilla at (907) 376-6245 and they will confirm the above, I could certainly purchase more if "they" would know they don't need to be charging air shipping to Alaska...

I was watching when you were on the phone with David this morning.  I was wondering about your shipping costs ADDED to the purchase price.   I totally agree they need to look into some kind of different shipping to Alaska.  I live in AZ so mine would be normal, yours on the other hand is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!   Isnt the shipping more than the purchase price of the cart??  I sincerely hope someone will answer you.  Maybe try leaving a message on his or Mary's Facebook page.         tedEbear

Have you tried contacting corporate?

Most of the time when posters are angry about something and want to call corporate, I'm not on their side, but this time I really believe your issue needs to go way above David -  to the VP in charge of shipping maybe?

If corporations can make use of the procedure you laid out, they should.

Wow, that's a lot for shipping.  I hope someone responds to your request and succeeds in lowering your costs.  I wonder how much of your shipping charges are profit. 

Alaska must be beautiful this time of year.   I noticed Anchorage and Fairbanks have had snow already.  Do the Palins still live in Wasilla?  Do you see them around town?

@Linda Lou AK.  If you want to contact David, it's best to do it on Facebook.  The hosts don't read or participate on these boards.  With your problem though, I'd contact corporate.  They are probably the people who negotiate shipping rates.

Thanks everyoe, it drives us crazy up here, it doesn't cost anymore to get it to us via postal or UPS ground than it does in any where else in the lower 48 but most compainies think it does and so either won't ship to us or charge us ridiculous amounts to send it! I guess they just don't know any better and don't take the time to find out the truth of the matter and just think since it's Alaska it must cost more LOL...

When my Mom was in a Retirement Home and she needed something done she would the tell the wait staff about the problem (drippy faucet. light bulb,etc.). They were lovely people but could not help her.We finally convinced her to tell those people at the desk.

I think that's how it is w/the hosts.

PS: Those shipping charges are outrageous!
