I am not a fan of all of the chips and sprinkles covering the apples so I was wondering if the apples could be caramel dipped and then dipped in dark chocolate with no chips or sprinkles. If some decoration is necessary maybe just a dusting of gold dust.

I agree with you. I don't like all of that stuff they put on it.
I've bought those (with the stuff on them) and given them away.
OMG! Someone at the bank where I go said they really liked the apple I gave them, but they thought they were going to break their teeth biting into it! Ha!
I said, "You should slice those things". They said, "That never occurred to me". Whoa! Ha!

I miss the ones with only nuts on them, I have asked several times for them to come back with no response.

I agree. I really only like the ones with the toffee or candy coating on them. I'm not at all interested in sprinkles.
However, I do believe they offer several sets throughout the course of the holiday season. I plan on waiting and seeing what they bring.
It's still early, so don't give up hope just yet. You might be pleasantly surprised!

If you have a Cold Stone Creamery (Ice cream shop) in your area they have Rocky Mountain chocolates & chocolate caramel covered apples.
We went there over the weekend. They were large apples and oh so tempting...I resisted! They have 4/$20 which is a great price.
I liked some had no toppings on them & others had -- I will go there when I need a gift. They are made fresh according to the sign on the case.
😋😋😋😋😋

@Gabidog Go to Mrs. Prindables home website. They sell lots of apples they way you'd probably like them.
Remember, QVC is risk adverse; they have a large sale of one type, and they keep bringing back that type over & over again (that goes for nearly everything QVC sells). There are many varieties without the candy coating. Enjoy!

FWIW, Mrs. Prindable's did have some peanut-only apples a few months ago; I can't quite recall whether it was late last year or early this year, but I was searching through the varieties and had to avoid that one due to a family member's peanut allergy. Fingers crossed that they'll come back in time for the holidays for those who want them!
