Has anybody else noticed this:
When we reply to a post the reply has an automatic
heading of "RE: " and then the thread title.
So our reply has a topic line just like the
thread does.
😊
I didn't like it at first but then I saw it has purposes
which are 1--that in my Notification Feed I can see what thread
I got Notified for and 2--when I click on my name to see my
posts I can look for the thread I want because the topics are there.
Some posters when they post a comment
are editing out the "RE: nameofthreadtitle"
making it a just a space or just dots
or something and then when we reply
that makes OUR reply title
have just spaces or dots.
And then our Notifications and our Profile list of threads
won't have the real thread title.
I wonder if the Moderators could fix the "RE: nameofthread"
so people can't edit it?
Thanks for listening, I don't complain much so this
will be my pet peeve for the week lol.
😊✌😊

Are you posting from a mobile device? On the full site, you can edit a post title to be anything you want, which I like. Sometimes side conversations happen and you can change the title to reflect that. Unless you use the mobile site, always check the title of your post to make sure it says what you want.
On the mobile site, you cannot change a title or even view the title of an individual post. I usually opt to use the Full site from my mobile devices so that I have more tools.

I always post with the full site
even with my iPad since I don't like
the mobile site @ChynnaBlue.
And this just made my point
because now my reply title
is what you changed it to.
😊

Now when I look at my Profile list
of things I posted I see I replied to
something called
"Re: I like that they can be edited."
Which doesnt make make as much sense
to me when I return days later and want
to find my comments on a certain
topic.
😊

It also made my point: You should check the post title before you post and change it yourself instead of blaming the forums or other posters.

Wow. I was only hoping to discuss this just like other threads
asking questions and making suggestions
and I wasn't
"blaming" anybody.
Im sorry it bothered you.
😕

No, it didn't bother me at all. Just saying that you are in control of your own post title. Change it to whatever you want.

I prefer having titles that can be edited. Please don't change this feature.

Thanks for posting
@ChynnaBlue, @dooBdoo, @GingerPeach!!
On second thought I should have asked
"what are some good uses for editing the "RE:" topic
line?" That would be interesting to know.

@newziesuzie, I agree with you that being able to edit the topic subject line on follow up posts creates more confusion than anything else.
I would like the QVC IT department to just remove that feature.
