Could you put a slight tint to the background so the glare is minimized?

 

Also, why is it necessary to have the title of the thread at the top of every reply?  That makes the page look so busy and it really doesn't serve any purpose that I can fathom.

A little bit of tint would help a great deal, in my opinion.  This stark white background is hard on the eyes.

I don't know if any of you have MS Office 2013 but they've gone for this stark white look too. And the icons on the tabs are now flat. Everyone at work complains about it because the lack of contrast is so hard on the eyes.
