That when QVC hosts are presenting jewelry, holding them up close near their fingernails, they be asked to wear more neutral nail polish rather than mismatched designer nails. These nails completely distract from the jewelry they are presenting and it is impossible to see all the finite details of the jewelry because of the patterned fake nails. The jewelry pieces, especially if they are upscale designer pieces with great detail, deserve to be hilighted and stand out, not the patterned nails behind them.

I thought the same thing.
The fancy nails distracted so much I could hardly see the ring.

Totally agree. Have felt this way for a while...and I don't usually "nit-pik" hosts...but it totally IS distracting. Used to be jewelry presenting 101 to have hosts nails be "done" but subtle. Times have changed...anything goes!

I've been complaining about this for a very long time but too many folks think the nails are pretty. In many cases I agree, but they are horrible when it comes to selling. The hosts need to understand that they are there as a 'fixture' they are not there to entertain us. I worked in a high end jewelry store and the company policy was clean nails that do not draw the eye away from the jewelry at a length that did not impede our ability to do our job. Take a stroll into the store with the blue boxes.....look at the sales staff.

QVC is the worst for displaying their " expensive " pieces which can be over $1000 .Also beware of how they magnify each piece . If you're lucky they may give the ct wt or show the inside of a ring . I don't care for the Diamond Rep. The earrings are always some kind of huggie which I don't wear. Designs are stale
Have to say ShopHq was the best in camera shots and how the Hosts displayed the pieces the best .

Agree about the nails & its not just jewelry. I've seen them on clothing & accessories shows & all I can do is stare at & be mesmerized by the nails. What product? Who cares the nails are mesmerizing.

@just wonder. Amen to that as has been discussed before, especially if the nails are as garish as Vanessa's.

Question: the significance of the 💯 at the bottom of your post ? My college just celebrated their 💯th anniversary so that number is foremost in my mind.
