Phobic??? Oh, please! People are so touchy these days. There's a big difference between a designer and a host. The designer puts his clothing on models and fit models and knows everything about the fabric, draping, etc. A host does none of that. They have no experience wearing women's clothing, therefore, they are not qualified to talk about it.

happy they are so openminded that they can't accept a differing opinion...LOL

So does this mean that men cannot be gynecologists because they do not have the right equipment  and have no experience with what they are examining?

of course not -but thats very different from what the op was expressing. And many many women prefer a woman gynecologist because they can they can relate to being a woman-should they be berated for feeling that way too???? Alberti or any male host wearing make up  is very different from being an MD -

why go to extremes to try to belittle the ops opionion anyway? what point are you trying to drive home other than she must be wrong because you disagree??

Same theory @lgfan . They can practice gynecology, and they certainly have expertise in women’s issues and anatomy.

But what they can’t do is know what it feels like to experience these issues as a woman.

So unlike Alberti, you will not hear them say how it feels.

I am not going to extremes or belittling the OP's opinions.  I am making a point just like the OP.

This is what the OP said:

"I am sick of male hosts selling female items. How do they know how something fits or how long it stays on my lips, etc."

She didn't say that the hosts said how it feels.  Everyone is different.  Even if a female host tried on the lipstick it wouldn't work the same on two women.  So even if a woman is selling women's products she is not talking for all women.

No problem with it whatsoever.  It's perfectly fine and acceptable.  YES, YES, YES!

Just another phobic rant.  Streaming will be perfect for this poster.  They can choose only the hosts they find fitting their narrow outlook.

I wanted to say something when I posted and didn't. You said it perfectly.

not everything someone dislikes is "phobic"

Have you read these posts? The word I really want to use is probably forbidden.

yes i have and again a dislike of something doesn't mean they are "phobic"

so quick to jump on people and who disagree -i have seen the posts referring to "failings" and biases...sometime not liking something is simply not liking it.Yet no one  hesitstates to judge them as they are being called judgemental. See the hypocrisy???

We are all grown ups and can recognize most of these posts are not a simple "dislike."   Close your eyes if you want. I won't.

people have their opinions- you don't have to like them or agree with them or insult them which is what those posts are meant to do

People hide behind this thought all the time.

This is ridiculous. No wonder I sometimes get irritated on these forums.

Live in your ivory towers and ignore the truth of what's being said by some.

No matter what a man or woman does off air is none of your business and, most certainly, does NOT affect you.

You have a valid point @lgfan . I assumed she just didn’t articulate her thoughts well. I also agree that what works for one might not work for another. But keep in mind when a woman wears the fashion, she can say I am large busted so be aware it doesn’t feel comfortable in the shoulders because it pulls, or the material runs very hot. Not a good fit if you overheat etc.

Now if Alberti wears the fashion he is selling. I have no problem with him giving an opinion, if he doesn’t then no. I’m not interested. I also don’t want to hear his mother bought two of them.

He might wear makeup. He does it for TV and maybe he even wears it in his personal life. Then by all means tell us which ones he uses and the results.

I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this one.
