What is the matter with QVC HR people. Hire some men. Do you think they can't sell. You can train them just as you do the females. What is your deal??

I too love the male host's! They present themselves well and don't have squeaky valley girl nasal voices.

With so many hours devoted to beauty, handbags and fashion, they probably assume many female customers would be turned off by a male hosting those shows. In major department stores there are maybe one or two floors of men's clothing and six, seven or more of women's. Retail has always been female-oriented. And I do think too that the QVC men are fine at their jobs.

Jewelry doesn't look so good on hairy hands.. But the hostesses often don't display jewelry long or well enough either...

There might not be any suitable prospects when they are looking and taking resumes.

Which is probably the reason QVC does not sell men clothing (pants, shirts, shoes, etc.). {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I agree. They could stand at least a small infusion of something other than middle aged testosterone around here... An appealing male host or two would be a nice choice, especially given the many, MANY female clones they've hired in recent years... Sorry, but for me, Rick is unwatchable, I rarely see Dan H, I don't watch David in the kitchen and Dan Wheeler seems like a nice man but is hardly compelling viewing. I do like Alberti... but don't see him often...

I guess the question is, who is the male host for? Few young guys watch QVC or HSN so I guess dude to dude marketing is out to the 20-35 year old market, and the two Dans seem sufficient for the older crowd. Alberti is very female friendly. These types of retailers don't seem to need much more maleness,considering who shops from television retailers.

Alberti Popaj should be on more often.

~Nick Chavez is my favorite vendor on QVC and Alberti Popaj is my favorite QVC host.~
Nick Chavez now has his own sub-forum under the My Favorite Brand folder
