I will never again buy 100% cotton because they shrink & do not hold their shape. If you can afford to buy something to wear once & throw it out then go for it.

I’m more likely to buy something with some spandex in the fabric than not.

I don't mind some spandex in pants, but in the summer I want all cotton tops.

I prefer spandex in my clothes.  In my old, fat age it is more comfortable.

My 100% cotton do not shrink, for the most part... but I also love cotton+poly.......no ironing even....loose/cool and comfy... that span is like running finger nails on a chalk board for me....something about it.....  but it's great there is something for everyone... Smiley Happy

It's good the Q does NOT have long inseams (32-34") as I'd buy about 30+....I live in joggers/sweat pants/casual...Now I pay $20 at amazon for cotton/poly at 32"..

and all cotton tee's in many colors for about $3 each in a four pack...Smiley Very Happy

Last year, I bought a Hanes Cool-Dri tee to try them out.  Fantastic tops.

I went back and bought a bunch of different colors, and just bought a couple more short sleeve versions.

They are marked down at the moment at the Hanes website, and there's free shipping.

I think it depends on the amount of spandex in the item. It does help it to keep it's shape.   I like most of mine but I also take care with gentle cycle and hang drying.
