It would be nice to have a silicon lid option so the glass dish could be covered during cooking process without having to use foil.

But wouldn't you have a lot of 'bubbling over" messes?  I rarely use the glass covers I have.  Alum foil allows steam to escape and prevent problems.

I have several sets of various sizes and love them.  They also seal for the refrigerator and microwave.  Would not be without them.  One in the dishwasher right now.

I did not mean another locking lid...just a top to lay over the dish to prevent drying out and too much browning...but maybe I will just keep ripping foil!
