Lighter fabrics for summer apparrel

Please QVC, w need lighter weight fabrics for summer apparrel.  I just received 2 pairs of D&Co shorts, but theyre very heavy weight knit.  I know linen is costly, what about 100% cotton or rayon?

@CABRIT    I know I see these long sleeve beach coverups that look like hoodies. Maybe on beaches up north but not where I am from. You would burn up in these.

Somebody in Asia had a huge sale on French Terry and the shopping channels snatched it up.  Its definitely the fabric of the year.  They'll be making undies out of it before the year is over.  Scratchy ones.

If I had a dollar for every review that says "thin, cheap fabric - returned". These are reviews for rayon & cotton. These are items I like/love. I personally like thin fabric. I run hot constantly. Just seems like you can't please everyone.

@shoechic

Same here .... I hate heavy weight summer clothing.

I like my tees to be the wispy weight of a handkerchief.   Something you can comfortably wear when it's 95 degrees and 90 percent humidity.

Only those who are always cold in 90 degrees wear them up here.

I agree. I wear cotton all year long, even at 30 degrees below zero. I have one rayon blouse and one dressy top with polyester lace over a cotton liner.

Polyester is polyester no matter what cute name is given to it...ie: liquid knit. For me, it's like wearing a plastic bag no matter the time of year.

I guess we all have our favorites.  I wear liquid knit all summer.  I love the fact that it's so easy to care for.  I'm never overly warm. I guess polyester just works for me.  Not a fan of linen.

@Kachina624     Gary said LIVE just now.....that if you live in a hot climate, the French terry "soaks up the perspiration".    REALLY !!!!
