I'm sorry, I know that the Leah fan club can't handle even the slightest criticism- but that infernal alarm clock she uses has to go. It doesn't even make sense. That sound is one of the most hated sounds in America. It means it's time to wake from your peaceful warm sleep and get up and get ready for work or whatever. It doesn't mean "hey look another great deal on a piece of clothing!" I immediately dive for the remote to mute the TV and never hear what she's selling. There are so many other sounds out there that are pleasant and inspire a good feeling that she could use. I can't be the only one that absolutely despises this feature on her show. I'll take anything else at this point. Please somebody smash Leah's alarm clock!

I'm sure that dumb idea came from the same people that thought shouting as loud and fast as possible when speaking, showing fake enthusiasm and laughter, loud frantic music playing in the background while the host is talking, filling up the time with talking about themselves and over each other while making sure not to disclose any pertinent information that would help someone decide, more of what they think is excitment but just wrangles the nerves so no one can watch at all. Those great ideas.

And even turning once nice to listen to hosts into bad actors shouting that they are so excited that we can't even listen to most of them anymore.

On a similar note, some of the hosts apparently aren't fans of these "noises" either. Pat Dementri was filling in as host for Mary DeAngelis during the Kim Gravel show on Wednesday. They were doing the "quick takes" segment and Pat did not seem to care for that blasted referee whistle they kept blowing. 😄

Pat, I agree. Nor am I a big fan of Leah's alarm.

I pretty much stopped watching after they introduced the alarm clock.  It's really annoying.  Plus, my husband has been volunteering at church on Friday nights, so he sleeps in a bit on Saturdays.  That alarm clark would wake him up.  I started watching on mute since I never knew when the alarm would sound and eventually I just stopped watching on TV and started checking the Items Recently Aired section on the website.

Exactly what I do!  Most of the hosts are unwatchable for me for more than a couple of minutes.

I agree with all the comments on the repeated, dated "schitcks" used during programming. It's the main reason I hardly watch any longer. I go online and review products from shows every couple of days or may search for new products.

@kaydee50   Ditto!  I haven't watched QVC for years.  Each day I go directly to items recently on air, and if something strikes my fancy, and if there's video available I watch it.

Benefit of that, I can fast forward past the drivel.

Add the Leah cackling and it's a nice circus/clown show even on mute when you see her head start bobbing you know the fake cackling is going on.
