A customer review should be worth something to a company.  Many times I see hosts and QVC boast positive reviews to help sell more.  Even a negative review is of some value.  It gives a company knowledge as to whether to re-order an item.  So I think as a perk to so many loyal customers QVC should offer a point for each posted review.  A point would be worth a dollar toward future purchases.  I usually read reviews before making a purchase so more reviews would help customers.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

What a great idea! Maybe after a certain amount of points, you could earn free shipping on a future order.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

@Gabidog good idea.  If they ever did this though, I would realllllly hope they required a customer to have purchased the item here.  I used to read a lot of "I gave this 2 stars because it doesn't come in red, so I didn't buy it."   Then I stopped reading reviews.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

That would be a nice idea, I hope QVC does not do anything like this suggestion until they modify their review process that they have now.  Currently, you don't even have to purchase or receive an item in order to "review" it.  There have been many posts complaining about QVC's reviews.   One of the Mods even responded that QVC is OK with receiving someone's impression of the product (meaning they never even bought it, but they give it a rating anyway) as a review.

Until QVC only accepts real reviews, incentivizing people to review would make false reviews rampant, I have no doubt.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

If people got rewarded for reviews I doubt that we could trust the content. Some people would write anything just to rack up points. There could possibly be many more unhelpful reviews to sort through.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

Not needed at all. We have plenty of reviews here already, so why would Q want to PAY customers for reviews?  It would just be another level of confusion too.  I don’t know of another company who does such a thing, do you?

Terrible idea.  How would you ever trust reviews if they did this?   I sure wouldn't.

@Gabidog That is a very cool idea ~ with benefits for all : )

I don't feel the review would have to be positive to receive points, just honest.

@Sooner I'm not clear on how gaining points for writing a review (positive OR negative) makes the review untrustworthy.....

@Irish1210  You are paying people to give opinions.  People will give any old opinion to get the money  or credit or points.

Re: LEAVE A REVIEW, EARN POINTS

@Sooner Thank you for explaining : )

I purchase quite a few items, but seldom take the time to write reviews...........if giving my opinion (positive or negative) might allow me to gain points/credits ~ that may be an incentive to do so.

Sometimes I wonder about the validity of the reviews I do read..............
