I'm not a prude, but I am so tired of all the hosts kissing all the guest presenters. I'm sure some of them are good friends, but I doubt if ALL of them are and they ALWAYS kiss the rep for whatever is being presented. I notice nobody on the other shopping channels do that. I just find it distracting and a little insincere. Just get down to business and tell me the facts needed to make my decision on whether to buy or not!!

I have to agree with you, it's a time waster and phony. The hosts have met with their presenters and many times sometime do lunch, dinner or home invites. All hosts and vendors are in the same area before going on air. It is time to stop all the pretence.
tell the vendors and host to give it a rest.

I'm so with you on this one! A few hosts keep their distance (Jill, MaryBeth and a couple more) When the kissing kind hosts are on and I see the 'kiss' coming - I change the channel. It's a stupid habit and proves nothing. They've already practiced the demos prior to appearing on stage, so it isn't like they really haven't seen each other for a while.

I agree it is silly to kiss the vendors. The seasoned professionals do not do that like Jill Bauer, Mary Beth etc. It is phony because we all know they just saw them in the green room prior to the show. I wish the hosts would stop kissing also.

For those that watch House Hunters, have you noticed that each time the buyer looks at a house they hug and or kiss the realtor? If it's a couple both of them give a hug, and I think it's weird. I think a hand shake works better in a business situation. If germs are a problem, how about hello ?

How in the heck does this impact anyone on these boards? Seriously?
In some circles, this is the norm for greetings. It has no impact on anyone here. No stranger is coming up to you and kissing you, so why be bothered?
If it is such a problem, simply tune your TV to something else.

When a vendor comes on the host kisses them. OK. Then the vendor comes on 10 minutes later with another item and they kiss again,. Hysterical!

@KYToby,Guess what, we are all entitled to our opinion. It is ok to comment when you see something that seems foolish. or awkward. I'm sure there are things that bother you that don't faze me, and that is great.
