Double Yuck to olive, gray and ecru.  I thought magenta was a jewel tone.  I never, ever wear olive or gray and only wear ecru if it's khaki.

Re: Jewel Tones are so...passe!

Why can't we embrace the fact not everyone likes same thing? It's absurd to ask SG or any other Designer stop offering jewel tones. Personally, Love Black White Navy Denim, Ooh love my Isaac True Denim jeans and gingham jean jacket. Own several floral sweaters by Iaasc recently added. Imagine if he stopped offering? Sigh I'd be sad. There's something for everyone! Fashion police, Enough stop.

Lol, I'd rather see jewel tones than all the grays, olives, cammo and drab, dusty colors that I see so much of on QVC.

I'm in SoCal and couldn't care less what is worn in NY.

I love jewel tones. Neutrals like gray and olive wash me out and are dull.

We love bright, warm colors in our beautiful sunshine.

Some people are afraid to wear what they like. Instead, they follow some fashion guru who doesn't realize that different people look better in certain styles/colors.

I live in NYC, and I love jewel tones.  Yes, New Yorkers do wear a lot of black, but certainly not exclusively.  I see neutrals, jewel tones, and everything else every day.  (And not just walking down the street - at high-profile events also.)

Me too!  I look best in jewel tones.  And I like them, so I wear them often.

I completely disagree that they're "passe".

Me three. I buy jewel tones whenever I can find them. As most women are aware, what's "IN" as far as colors tends to change every few years, or sure used to. I remember going shopping and not seeing any jewel tones for 3-4-5 years at a time. When they "came back" again I'd load up.
