Is "prime" shipping in QVC's future?

I love QVC, but the shipping is expensive and slow. I'm wondering if a system like Amazon Prime has ever been considered.  Many times it is the shipping cost and wait time that sends me in search of other options.

Just a thought.

we do pay for prime shipping

I just don't think Q has the IT ability or inclination to make a change they are too entrenched in what worked 15/20 years ago

The original purpose of Amazon was to ship goods of any description quickly and effectively.  It helps that they have so many warehouses. But they don't really make things as well as the send things. They have their own trucks and planes.  Much of their money is sunk into making goods ship faster.  They've tried eveything, even drones. QVC is tiny compared to Amazon.  Even goods that are sent by the 3rd party stores in the U.S. mail seem faster. This is why you have Amazon.

I hope not. My shipping cost at QVC is much lower than Amazon Prime membership. The majority of what I purchase at QVC ships free and those that are not are $3.50 or $5.50, which is less than what I have seen at other online retailers who charge shipping.

Macys Charter Club Damask 550 Thread Count 100% Supima Cotton sheets are wonderful in every way you'd expect sheets to be. They have good sales regularly, I think now its 30% off Friends & Family.

Prime offers benefits far beyond just shipping. Benefits that make subscriptions worth it for people that don't necessarily purchase items from Amazon. There's no comparison between what Amazon does and QVC.

And I find QVC's shipping on par with many other retailers. I placed an order yesterday with a company that didn't have items I wanted in their brick and mortar location. My estimated delivery date is in two weeks. I find QVC's delivery dates to be dependent on whether it comes from their warehouse or a vendor.

Prime members pay a yearly fee for free shipping and 2 day shipping on eligible purchases.  No. I don't believe QVC will ever do that and I think $3.50 is a very low charge to pay for shipping and handling. The other shopping channels charge more.

Also, not all Amazon items ship for free, even with a Prime membership. That too is dependent on a third party vendor.
