Re: Is The Social Team Ignoring Our Concerns?

My biggest disappointment is not being able to find threads easily.  Having to work hard to find a thread makes reading and posting too time consuming and pretty much takes the fun out of it.

I'd give you a thumbs up but that emotie seems to be gone...

... and the new ones are pitiful...  I thought at least with these changes they might come up with some good ones...

What you say is absolutely true and the worst part is, there's no guaranteeing you'll even find what you're seeking...

Re: Is The Social Team Ignoring Our Concerns?

I don't see this as simply a matter of "getting used to"  a new format after days or weeks of practice.  What remains regardless is a site that is cumbersome, difficult to navigate, time-consuming, too much work, has eliminated important features (My Activity, Edit and many others) and has added juvenile features suitable for pre-teens.  Disgusted here.

Justina, you can EDIT. On the top right hand side of the post you want to edit there are three dots. Click on this and you will find the edit feature.

I agree with those who say the moderators will wait for the dust to settle.

Some of the problems can be fixed by making changes in our "Settings," others are just a natural part of adapting to a very different format.

Once they see what the common questions/concerns are, I hope they will address them.

I agree, dooBdoo. And I have found that other posters have been very helpful in providing suggestions and answers to questions right here on the new board.

Re: Is The Social Team Ignoring Our Concerns?

If they are handling it like my company does, they will take all of the questions and write answers to them and post them in the FAQ.  I don't think the team is going to go through each and every thread and answer the same questions over and over again.

Plus they have to slog through all of the angry threads.

Re: Is The Social Team Ignoring Our Concerns?

The biggest drawback to me is not being able to see a page of 50 replies to an OP in logical order and being able to set my Preferences so that the newest reponse is at the top of that page.  Yes I know I can set to Newest Response here but it doesn't seem to work right or be of any benefit.  When I return to a thread such as this I find myself smack in the middle of it (I guess where I left off last?).  It was just so much easier to see 50 responses on a page in order.  I don't know where I am here half the time....and I've spent a LOT of time here all day trying to make sense of it all.

Re: Is The Social Team Ignoring Our Concerns?

I guess they might have tech skills but no real people skills and just cannot grasp that what is simple to them is very frustrating and puzzling to the average person and many with very little tech knowledge.  They should have had a real explanation with instructions on how to do the new things as well as how to access older posts and do what we were able to do before and not let the frustration get out of hand due to posters not understanding how to function with the changes!!  There still probably would have been some things not clear but at least some of the basic stuff would have been explained from the get go!!  They also should have at least posted something to help ease all the concerns and indicate that they were going to address them.
