Inclusive Sizing in Fashion

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I think it is great that you are selling inclusive sizing from XXS thru 5XL.  However, I never see a model on QVC wearing anything larger than a 1XL.  Obviously you are selling a lot of the larger sizes.  I think it would be great if you would show a 3X or higher model wearing the clothing you sell. I wear a 3XL and personally it would really help me if i saw a model in my size or higher wearing these clothes,  It bothers me that you sell size inclusive clothes but you arent inclusive when it comes to modeling them.

Tune in to HSN.  It seems that's all they show lately.

I believe there are several models who wear a 2X.

However, I think you might be right. I can't recall ever seeing anyone wearing a 3X.

They had a couple of 2x models a while ago.  They used them a lot but about a year ago, they disappeared.

If you are on Instagram, try following "Candace Cameron Bure Clothing."  She shows her clothes on a model who appears to be a 3X as well as on a smaller model (or herself).

If I was a vendor depending on models to help sell my fashions, I'd want them to show off the garments to their best advantage so they would sell well and the largest possible audience could relate to to them.  This would not be a display of the very large sizes.  If you've only got one or two models, better to use women of more average size.

While I understand your point, I'm not sure there's all that much diffence showing a top on a 1x model versus a 3x model.

I think body type is often more important.

If the model is a 3x and has an apple shape body, it's not going to help a customer very much if she's a 3x pear shape .... JMO, of course.

Welcome to the Forum @DMarieC.

QVC talks about being inclusive, but I haven't seen it. I have seen quite a bit of plus size models during the past two years, one or two up to 5X.

No models in my size, though.  It has been only occasional to see models in sizes 6 through 10.

You might want to use the Suggestion Box to the left because it appears no one from QVC with influence reads these posts.  Not sure the Suggestion Box is good, either.

I don't know if this is the reason or not but I have a dear co-worker who is of a larger size that you ask about

She cannot stand for long and has to sit frequently. We are fortunate to have a sedentary job.  I am just not sure if models in the size range that you are interested in seeing,  would be able to stand to model the clothes.
