I won't buy anything presented by the hosts I find obnoxious.  It's not like there aren't a million other places and ways to spend our money.  The only possible way things wll change is if sales drop in response to talk of butts or shaking them around. Same goes for presenters who talk over the hosts or hosts who don't bother giving us the info.

The only power we have here is how we give them our money.

The Find on Tues. night is one of the worst shows on the Q. The "finds" are same old stuff mostly. Strange name for the show.

I don't tune in to any of those shows and Isaac's any more. I'd rather have a root canal.   I use the 'items recently on air' option to see if there's anything I missed I'd like to have.

I have complained about this host and her inappropriate antics to no avail. She thinks her made up vocabulary is cute, but I can assure her it isn't, just annoying. I am not sure which host coined the words "stinkin" cute," but I cringe every time I hear it. They all must think that one is cute because I have heard them ALL use that one. Now this host has taken to calling everything she is trying to sell as "sick."  Is that really the way QVC wants a product described...sick?  It's just another way of trying too hard to be cute and all it does is irritate people. I am also puzzled as to why they continue to let her dress in the manner she does....the last offensive one was the green strapless dress that looked inappropriate and unprofessional. I will no longer watch Monday nights because of her, period. QVC, how much longer are you going to let this go on?

Just occurred to me that maybe the workers are union and that's why they can't be managed.

If it was a union place, sexist comments on air would never be acceptable!!  Unions fought long and hard to eliminate this type of thing!!!  As for the above mentioned behavior that cherzum and some others think is inappropriate - well that's subjective and not everyone agrees.  Sales are what matters anyway.

My closing view on the couple of hosts I don't care for is they're like people you meet in real life if they irritate you then move on. Not likely you will want to hang with them. I got weather people on TV I won't watch, so forth and so on.

I should have known!  Since I have heard virtually every host use it, I didn't know where it came from, but now that I know, it makes perfect sense. When I heard Valerie Parr Hill use it, I think that is where I lost it!  I like her and her merchandise, so when I heard her say it, I thought noooooo,Valerie.....don't say that just because you heard everyone else. She is too classy for that. Thanks for the info!

He found it funny.  I think it's just an excuse to target this host.  You're trying too hard just to get her fired.

I agree. Often I think this forum is like the 50's movie Peyton Place with provincial ideas and no sense of humor. I have heard lots of inappropriate comments from that vendor yet not a thread started about him.

I don't think the adjective "stinkin cute" originated with QVC. I have heard it used regionally for at least 10 years. I just think the standards on QVC have shifted to allow more slang and mystery words, and the younger hosts hopped on the bandwagon first. Then it migrates to the older ones. Once a slang term gets used by grandma, the younger ones won't use it anymore because it is no longer hip. So take heart, stinkin cute (which I have used, lol) will probably fade away and something else will pop up.

@VancouverUSAgal***I totally hear you!  If I see something I want and it's not jumping out of there, I'll just wait for several hours after another host comes on! Smiley Happy
