I believe somewhere in these threads they said that it would be available next year with any luck.

Hi @debic

Just wanted to be clear that we are aware of this feature that many wish would be added. Unfortunately it is not a feature that is available. If the feature is made available then we would be sure to add it. This is not planned to be available in 2016.

I wanted to make sure you had appropriate expectations regarding this request.

Well dang!  I was sure I read that somewhere, must have been wishful thinking.

@debic, Don't feel bad...  I thought it was previously listed in those features we might have next year.  It's not one I used other than odd cases like a "new" poster who started peppering threads with spoilers about things like tv shows and the Olympic Games, but I really, really do understand why it's helpful to many posters.

Thanks for the update, @Keyai.

Thank you for your response.

Sorry to hear "IGNORE" won't be added.

But, again, thanks for the information.

Thnaks, Keyai. But I'm guessing since you and the other moderators are doing a good job in keeping this place clean, the ignore feature may not be as necessary anymore. Not trying to put you down, OP. I know you and others still miss the ignore feature, but things have calmed waaaaay down on this forum now.

Things are better, but there are still spikes of people trolling in certain forums at certain fairly predictable times by some predictable posters.

@Keyai thank you, as always, for the update. I really appreciate that. Smiley Happy

I'm disappointed that the Ignore feature is not high on their forum priority list. I've only needed to use it once (and then only for a few months), but I really appreciated having it there when I needed it.

I'm usually pretty good about letting stuff go but, in this one persistent instance, I worried that I would eventually wind up replying... and then all heck would break loose. So I used the ignore button and, a few months later when I unignored the individual, the dust had settled. So the ignore button proved to be an invaluable resource at that time.

So I hope that QVC will revisit their decision. lol, I suspect that having the Ignore feature available would make it easier on the moderators as well. Smiley Wink

Not trying to put you down, NCB, but in some areas the mean continues.  I'm guessing you are aware that the digs are ongoing.  Perhaps if they appeared closer to home you might feel differently about having the 'ignore' option.

I can't understand why those who DON'T want it care if it becomes an option, after all one does NOT have to use it if it were it available.  So what's the issue with having it.

Those who have a problem are those who DO want it and DON't have it the option.

Thank you, @Drythe for explaining this so clearly. I feel exactly the same way. Smiley Happy

Hello, Drythe. Smiley Happy

Trust me, I've been on the receiving end of some of these grumpy people.

Of course the ignore feature was important and it would be great if it were brought back. But one of the moderators did say that there's just no plans for it, not even for next year. I'm guessing maybe it's just not possible for this board to have an ignore feature added right now. Maybe because of the forum update? Not sure.

I'm not saying that I don't want an ignore feature to be added. I just figured that it might be best not to get any hopes up too high if one isn't going to be added.
