@Judaline thank you!!
What I´m trying to say is that the credit goes to everyone who contributed in getting the blouse together.

@Pook wrote:If most were willing to pay the prices it costs to make things here then most companies would have stayed here!! To make out they had to go where workers are not even paid a living wage to stay in business!!
@Pook That could be. I honestly don't know what's the chicken and what's the egg, but a different take might say that corporate greed led to overseas production to maximize profits rather than companies being forced overseas to survive... Just sayin'...
That said, of course, there are factors other than profit that made domestic production more costly than it needed to be and otherwise unattractive for companies... I guess we can't talk about those here though...

I would rather pay more if the item is made in the USA that from a COMMUNIST COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!

@stevieb I wouldn't say corporate greed was solely to blame. The greed of labor unions strongly contributed to high price making US goods. uncompetitive. You can't blame business for wanting to make a fair profit.

@catlady122 You're not purchasing from a Communist Country; you're purchasing from a prively owned business that happens to be in a Communist country that has a trade agreement with the US.

I buy clothes made in California. But they are really made in California, the fabric, sewing and design. Brands like Chalet, comfyUSA,, habitat and a few others are quality clothing, sustainably made. I didnt know QVC had clothes from california. Or, is that the brand name, and they are imported, sent to the docks in Los angeles and then sold on QVC? Lol

We can't have it both ways. People complain because China isn't buying as much from the U.S. as it did before the tariffs. If we want China to buy from us, we have to buy from them.
A lot of this is our own fault. Face it, the U.S. gave up on manufacturing when it allowed companies to outsource to other countries and reap even more tax benefits.
Nothing will change as long as tariffs are out of control and the U.S. allows tax breaks to companies that outsource to other countries.

@Kachina624 Agreed and that was one of those 'other factors' I referenced that I assumed we weren't allowed to talk about...

Let's face it, overseas companies have the market cornered in how cheaply they make anything. Been doing this forever. We - the USA are far behind the times to keep up since the 1960s/70s to always upgrade equipment, the knowledge of know-how to be more efficient, quicker, easier than China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia.
