If you would stop importing items from China,

like Barefoot Dreams, I would buy more. No matter how appealing you make an item sound/look, it is ruined when I see the word imported. Please don't tell me some part of every item is probably made in China. I am talking about items offered and they are "imported." I realize QVC is afraid to put the China word on their products, but we all know what imported means. You underestimate us.

Pennies on the dollar there, lots of US funds by the time it gets here. I laugh outload every time I see this brand here. They think they have a corner on the market for their fabric when I've seen this years ago in sweaters for much less by some no-name brand.  It's not at all new. I've owned a couple of sweaters out of this fabric. Kills me what they charge here and just ooh and ahh over it.

I don't think they are going to stop selling their made in China or imported clothes.

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

People would have a fit over the prices.  Are you kidding me? People complain about the price of things now.

All USA made is great but prices will soar.

My DH wanted to make a statement and bought an all USA tee shirt Thursday.  It is a no design name, a lovely shade of blue, plain tee $38.  If it was a womans tee with a label like BareFoot Dreams it would have been $300+

We are trying to support USA companies by making purchasing as much as possible but it is a financial commitment.

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

QVC is no different than anyother media/BM seller.  Check out Amazon, for most of their clothes you really have to search all the info to the nth degree to see if its Asian made.  Very few American made products anywhere.  Before Covid it did not seem to matter that much where products were made we bought them with abandenment.  Now everyone complains about products made in China.  You think prices are high now, just think what they would be with American made products.

Just because we can express our likes and dislikes here on the forums does not mean we should take out our frustration and condemn the Q.  QVC is no different than any other retailer.

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

I don't get why Q is pushing all of the 'California brands' with exorbitant prices, when like most other brands, they're still MADE in China.

Don't get me wrong, I lived in LA for 7 years and loved it, but QVC seems to think that if the designer or brand is from CA, it warrants ridiculous prices for average styles with average (or less) fabrics/sizing and that everyone in America wants/has to have them.

Sorry, CA fashions are not the 'end all, be all', IMO.

I just can't fall for that hype, so overused on QVC, but that's just me.

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

@Judaline   A huge number of "imported" goods do not come from China.  That's a false assumption.  There are probably over a dozen countries from which the Q imports garments, for instance.

If it's good quality and reasonably priced, I don't care where it was made.

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

I find the selective outrage funny.

People target QVC for selling stuff that was made in China, as if they are the only company to do that.

Are they just as outraged that Wal-Mart, Target, the Dollar Store sells stuff from China too?

Are they demanding that Wal-Mart, Target and the Dollar Store also stop selling stuff that was made in China?

Or, do they happily shop those other places, and this is just another excuse to b***h about QVC?

Re: If you would stop importing items from China,

If most were willing to pay the prices it costs to make things here then most companies would have stayed here!!  To make out they had to go where workers are not even paid a living wage to stay in business!!
