Hi @Nicole WI, I just came across your thread and have just read through all of the posts before replying to it.

I wanted to add my support for your IT Cosmetics forum because I have a feeling that it might do well.

As you know our beloved Wen brand has one of those coveted spots in the My Favorite Brand forum and it is very active (it's the most active sub-forum). The Linea sub-forum is very active as well, but the other sub forums are not as active... and a number of them, particularly ones with direct connections to QVC, have almost no activity in them at all (as HappyDaze had mentioned). -- And I have no clue as to why some of these close to deserted forums are still there.

Last Fall IT Cosmetics won the QVC Customer Choice award for Social Media... and somehow -- and I have no clue as to how this happened -- managed to beat out Chaz Dean and his well oiled Social Media machine in the process. Being a huge Wen fan, I was disappointed but also really impressed by whatever IT Cosmetics was doing on the Social Media front.

Now, since the QVC forums are a form of social media... from my perspective, it makes sense to give IT Cosmetics a sub-forum. Of course, that's easier said than done, so here's my suggestion...

Why not start a monthly IT Cosmetics Chat thread in the Beauty forum. In your first post each month, make it clear that you would like IT Cosmetics to have their own sub-forum, so you are creating this monthly chat thread to show QVC that there is a lot of interest in an IT Chat forum. Let folks know that, of course, everyone can continue to post individual IT Cosmetic threads in the Beauty forum. -- And that you're just creating the monthly chat thread to show QVC that there is a lot of interest in an IT Cosmetics sub-forum.

In fact, the My Favorite Brand forum was created due to the persistent, non-stop insistence of the Linea ladies, followed by the Wen women. When QVC restructured the forums last June, they took away all of the sub-forums... lol, and both the Linea ladies and the Wen women continued to campaign for their own sub-forums until QVC relented (after an intensive week of posting) and gave them their own sub-forums.... and both the Linea and Wen sub-forums have been extremely active.

I've seen a few folks (including @NC Bandwagon, for Nick Chavez's forum) use this method to get QVC to eventually give them their own forum.

@Nicole WI, I think that with persistence and direction that you may well be able to convince QVC to create an IT Cosmetics sub-forum.

I honestly don't know... I was not sure if it had something to do with how long a product had been sold on QVC, but if you are voted "Most Loved Brand" by QVC customers I don't see a reason not to give them a place in the "My Favorite Brands" catagory of the forum. The brand is expanding into skincare, so clearly are not a brand withering away and dying. So hopefully QVC will take this request into consideration.

I put zero confidence in the Q's Favorite Brands b/c of what I said above.

bebe, thank you for all your ideas and advice! I am not certain, but I believe I have tried to respond to this post three times. I am in the hospital. Some poor judgment on my part lead to some internal bleeding related to my recent surgery I had last week. Please don't worry; they were able to clotterize the bleeding without any problems and my recovery time is just pushed out a bit. So everything is fine, no reason to fuss over me.

My thought is as follows on a IT Cosmetics forum... I love the IT Cosmetics production I

use! I know there are other out there who also love their products as well. If there is a large enough group of people who would like to participate in a separate IT Cosmetics forum that is fantastic. I'm so sorry to hear that you've had a health setback and are back in the hospital. I'm glad that the doctors have been able to stabilize your condition and I hope you are on the mend.
