I'm not sure how this works...help?

[ Edited ]
I don't see the quote button. I get enough emails. I don't want to be notified when someone replies. I don't understand what tag means and I also don't get the heart thing. Is it a game and you get something for getting so many hearts? this forum thing used to be fun. Now not so much.

@Tenners,

I'm still learning, too.   The way I understand it, the actual "notifications" on the forum show up on the screen and not in email messages.

To use the quote, just click "Reply" on the post you wish to quote, then look in the upper right corner of the box in which you type your response.  Click on the word "QUOTE" and the other person's comment will display and you add your comments below it.

The "tagging" involves using keywords (much like the use of hashtags) which help others when they search for certain things, and the hearts appear to be the same as "likes" on Facebook.

hth!  I'm sure others will add helpful info. Robot Happy

Thanks, dooBdoo, but there is no QUOTE in the box. I've never hashtagged anything and I'm not on facebook or twitter so this stuff isn't second nature to me. I used to love to look through the forums. Now it's just a confusing mess. Glad I'm not going to get emails. Thanks again.

Hi Tenners,

*When you click on the "reply" button you will see the word "Quote" in the upper right corner above the text box.

*The default for e-mail notification is automatically set to off.

@*Tagging is a way to notify a poster that you have replied to their post. Example: @.(persons nick) they will get a notification.

*You can also tag a product by using the "Message Tags" Box in the upper right corner next to the "Quote" button. Example:WEN, Cleansing Conditioner, Shampoo... This will help locate post or any post dealing with WEN.

I hope this information is helpful.

I swear ... There is no word "Quote" in the text box. I wish I could send you a screen shot from my iPad mini. Is the problem using an iPad? Maybe it doesn't work with iPads?

Yes, @Tenners, I think the problem is that you're using an iPad.  I tried it with mine, and with my iPhone, and they don't seem to allow the "Quote" feature.

So with all the "improvements" I now have less functionality than I had yesterday? WOW! I'm impressed, QVC!
