@chrystaltree I think they do want us to take it seriously. Why else would they spew such nonsense.

Reality check...I have essentially two bedroom sets and two closets. The dresser in our bedroom is for most of my current stuff. Those in the spare bedroom/guest room are for off season, big sweaters, and overflow. I was organizing things this morning and I barely had enough room to get everything put away. For my simple life, I should be ashamed of having so much. If I had half the amount it would still be more than enough. I am committed to not buying any more clothes until I have a true need.

Don't forget with a strategically placed scarf and brooch you can take the hayride ensemble to a wedding or a fancy birthday celebration.🤔

How about something for my lifestyle? It would have to be perfect for digging up flower bulbs, hosing down the garage floor and cleaning the greasy grill. That was pretty much my weekend. I did wear JR pants and a SG shirt to church so I wasn't a slob the whole weekend.

@JeanLouiseFinch I need to do this too. 🤞🏼

I live in a semi-rural area and the traffic from the city coming to our pumpkin patches is insane! I can't even drive to the supermarket without sitting in 30 minutes of traffic on the weekends. I'm praying they run out of pumpkins soon! Haha Then there are the apple orchards too. Same city people coming to pick apples. Hope they all have the proper outfits! Oh well; by Nov. 1 it's over!

Well, I love hearing all those ideas, and yes, if I had the money and the time, and a full-time pet sitter, I would certainly be off and enjoying more great trips and activities. Once can certainly be as busy as one chooses to be. (Yes, I did just run up and down my steps six times in ten minutes chasing two of my cats.)
It is now Fall, and we usually try to go to Lancaster this month to buy pumpkins, mums, cornstalks and straw bales from an Amish farm to decorate our house, and also we plan a Halloween activity, such as going to a haunted house, or something similar. (There is now a new hayride where you can shoot zombies with paintball guns!) On those days I wear some warm casual clothes/boots.
This weekend we have tickets to the ballet, so I have to dress up a bit.
There are two great charity events this month, both of which I really want to attend, but they are very big bucks, so I am going to pass. One requires cocktail dresses, and the other gowns and tuxedos (Laurel Hill Cemetery Gravedigger's Ball).
Husband usually starts skiing around Thanksgiving, and he has an annual pass for a ski resort in the Poconos.
I am already planning a cruise for next Summer.
However, the truth is I really do not need any more clothes, as my collection is quite sufficient.
Life if short, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy!

I've watched QVC for decades and they always suggested where I could wear certain clothes and it always struck me as strange. I'm an old woman, although I was much younger when I started watching, but having the hosts tell me where to wear something has always grated on my nerves. Apparently this is a good sales pitch since they keep it up.
BTW, I grew up around a beach but never, until my early 20s when I moved to South Jersey, did I know what a boardwalk was! I know the "Under the Boardwalk" song but didn't have a clue what it was. We don't grow pumpkins way down here, nor can we grow apples, so those "hints" are always lost on me. The last hayride I went on was when I was in junior high! And I never plan on going to "the city". I just hope whatever I want to wear for a certain day is clean and easy to put on and looks semi-good on me!
