When errors take place doing purchase do to reps from QVC, that causes the customer to have overdraft issue. QVC does not care. Most of the older or mature women who shop with QVC is on a fixed income so they love easy pay. An when waitlist item are just ship and the customer is not contacted before, it can cause problems for the customer

the purpose of waitlist is the item automatically ships, so we don't have to worry about it. maybe you should just wait for it to come back in stock, then you could order it.

First of all, welcome to the boards!Smiley Very Happy  This is the reason I never utilize the waitlist because I never know exactly when they will withdraw payment from my debit account. Just to be fair, the customer is informed beforehand (you have the option to say yes or no), if you want to be added to the waitlist because your payment will be withdrawn immediately. However, it would be nice if you were contacted once again to confirm. Hope this information is helpful to you.

I never purchase anything online with a debit card so no overdrafts. Always use a credit ccard & pay off when bill comes thus no interest. You also have more protection against fraud with a credit card.

Using a credit card rather than a debit card for waitlist will keep one from having overdrafts. They used to have an option that you could choose to be notified for approval before shipment or automatic fulfillment once the item is back in stock. I haven’t had a waitlist item in so long I don’t know if this is still the case.

If you're using your debit card, the minute you place your Waitlist order put it in your check register to deduct from your balance.  That way when the order ships you will have the money.

Exactly! Who in their right mind would use a debit card for online purchases? So foolish!

Welcome to the boards.  If I may make a correction in your nickname, did you mean to type transplant?

@SeaMaiden

 I use a debit card online and am far from foolish. It's your own fault if you get over draft charges.
