I agree. Remember in the olden days when there were those shows w/the shorter presentations?.

@Group 5 minus 1 , sure do!  I remember when there was a timer on the screen and you could only order the item when it was being presented.  Presentations were definitely shorter and the show moved along quickly.  In those days, there was only one host, which I much prefer, and no "brand ambassadors/vendors".

I agree about lengthy presentations, I usually bounce off to another station and have started just checking in every once in awhile, but I'm sure they have research to prove that folks surf thru all the time and if they catch someone's interest it is worth it. I remember when I first started watching HSN during their infancy, they were presenting duster wands, you had to call in to order it WHILE IT WAS ON THE AIR. If you didn't get in during that time the opportunity was gone! I could not get thru on the phone, it was busy....I was so upset!!! That sense of CALL NOR urgency kept me going back for days! I kpet checking hoping to find that dusting wand again!

@We rescue cats , I recall those early days with QVC--same thing--you had to order while it was on the air.  You also had to call in and speak with a person to place an order.  No such thing as ordering online or an app in those days.  Woman LOL

For me - the solution is to not watch QVC but rather check "recently on air" periodically during the day.

Re: How about shorter presentations?

I can't imagine talking about any product for 20, 30, 60 minutes, let alone with enthusiasm. It has to be very boring. No wonder they say goofy things and act like children (which is why I don't watch).
