Re: How about shorter presentations?

Jane did 40 minutes on the TSV. Of course she had daughter tales to tell, her husbands story & of course Disney World.  TMI Jane.

In her book Kathy Levine talks about her initial interview for the Q. She had to do one minute about a pencil. Very interesting!

Re: How about shorter presentations?

I agree about lengthy presentations, I usually bounce off to another station and have started just checking in every once in awhile, but I'm sure they have research to prove that folks surf thru all the time and if they catch someone's interest it is worth it. I remember when I first started watching HSN during their infancy, they were presenting duster wands, you had to call in to order it WHILE IT WAS ON THE AIR. If you didn't get in during that time the opportunity was gone! I could not get thru on the phone, it was busy....I was so upset!!! That sense of CALL NOR urgency kept me going back for days! I kpet checking hoping to find that dusting wand again!

Agreed! Most of the time the hosts are going on, and on about buying multiples, how they would wear it, and about their private lives. Rarely, if ever, do they give accurate measurements and sizing information.

@pupwhipped Well, that's kinda mean!  They just have to do what then can to fill the space.

I think @We rescue cats might have it right that they are trying to catch people who "bounce" around, as she put it.  Very funny word for channel surfing.

@Another new name Sue, I have edited my reply so as not to add anything "mean" to your thread.

Re: How about shorter presentations?

So this morning I made my cup of coffee, sat down, and turned on qvc.  What was on but an entire hour of the next greatest Calista hair tool.  Seriously, who needs an hour of seeing the same models get their hair styled by Calista, who is a professional stylist!  An immediate channel changer for me who is not one bit interested in another Calista tool.
