Re: Hosts need to be able to pronounce

This particular host, and her mispronunciation of cotton and button have stopped me from watching her shows.  I found I was tuning in just to hear those words!!  Then decided to take stock, and find a better form of entertainment!  Love other hosts and shows, though, like AM Style, Leah and Jayne Brown. Also love Quacker Factory shows, but I don't buy - not my style.  I though Jeanne Bice was a hoot, and I like Angel Smedley as well.

Cotton and Button.  Pretty simple.

Re: Hosts need to be able to pronounce

I have a true story that shows the importance of knowing AND pronouncing the name correctly but don't want to change the focus of the specific topic. Needless to say, it IS important and if you can't be bothered, then you're lazy.

Re: Hosts need to be able to pronounce

I don't watch at all anymore, I haven't in a long time.

My biggest pet peeve was listening to Pat James-Dementri on St. Patrick's Day trying to pronounce Connemara Marble and Claddagh.

Re: Hosts need to be able to pronounce

A while back I was watching a show where the hostess kept saying Aragon oil, she was getting on my last nerve, had to turn it off....nonetheless I ordered my Argan Oil instead
