Re: Hosts' and Reps' voices

[ Edited ]

@cheriere

Agree, with your post . A college ,  Public Speaking class for me included  Voice and Diction . It was required in my Nursing curriculum.  I was taught how to modulate my voice.  Speak clearly and loudly by lowering the pitch so it does not sound as though you are yelling in a high pitch tone. You'd think that the QVC Hosts and company Reps would work on this so us customers didn't have to mute them most of the time or  not watch QVC at all .

That Kitchen Aid lady has a horrid squeaky voice  and one of the Italian ladies  who sells the Delizioso

Lemoncello  cakes  voice is difficult to listen  to.

( correction Delizioso and sentence grammar)

@skatting44   I completely agree.  It just makes sense that the reps hired by their companies to appear on television would take this into consideration as well as QVC.  The hosts training is completely on the Q.  It just makes sound financial sense for the company, especially since they claim to be struggling.  Keeping people watching is a good thing lol.

I believe that the voices are worse since they went to HD.

It seems to be in the transmission because it is worse at times than at others.

I could never go to all streaming...the sound is really terrible!

Voices can be easily manipulated  when broadcasting!

That Lock n Lock lady is the one on Q I can NOT listen to for more than five minutes...

But the WORST voice I currently can't stand is that rep for Jacuzzi walk in showers...( she's from some home makeover show....)

OMG the end of EVERY sentence/statement she goes UP like like a little baby asking for a lollipop.

This is a grown woman.

I can't get to the remote fast enough. And I think they made TWO of these ads and the second one is worse than the first.

Women that sound like toddlers....the only thing I didn't notice was if she had thrumb-holes on her blouse. That's what those infantile devices were designed for...the Jacuzzi woman/child.

Lisa Robertson did have a great voice for television. I also think that Pat James Dementri has a good television voice as does Jayne Brown and Terri Conn..

Stacey Rusch is the sweet, pretty newer host. Gosh, when she comes on, I almost break my neck getting the remote to lower or change channels.

Her voice to me sounds like a Drill Sgt. giving commands.

I feel the same way @Kachina624 and it's not just on QVC, some of the commercials on TV, the vendors have terrible voices.
