Criticizing so many hosts in one run-on post will probably not go well. I hope you find at least one you enjoy watching.
Leave OP alone. She's as free to post her opinion as you.
@CalminHeart - Of course she is! I'm sorry if I offended you and others. I'm sure @Slitslattly appreciates your support of her opinion. The fact that there is so much negativity in a FIRST post just threw me.
I think there are ways to voice your opinion by seeing the positive first. Someone taught me that a long time ago, and I try to do that.

Some are easily offended @beach-mom . I didn't see anything wrong with your post.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using the word hostess, it is no different than actor and actress. Nothing sexist about it, some people here just like to bring in such terms.

I learned only recently that actress was no longer used. It is actor for all.
And I always have to remember that there is no more airline stewardess, just flight attendant.
It's just learning new words to lessen discrimination. To respect any with that job as equal.
No need to differentiate between man or woman because women have been given lesser salaries and still are, and less respect or belief that they can do the job as good as a man.
It's just something to remember to change after using something else for so long. That's how I see it. I just have to keep up and try to keep learning and keep an open mind.
There are so many changes to what names are used to describe so many things.
Like Autism and Ausbergers I learn is now "on the spectrum."
I'm still learning new ones every day. And if it matters to the group who's name
is changed, I'll hope to respect that.

That’s NOT true @on the bay 🥴
All the entertainment news and world news channels use both actor and actress when reporting.
And both the Academy Awards and Oscars separate the two.
You know Best Actor…Best Actress 🤗🤗🤗
Oh ok. Thanks, I guess the awards ceremonies still do, you are right.
Though referring to what someone does they say they are an actor.
And some want the awards nomination names changed as well.
I think it will be confusing if they do change it for the awards.
Oh well,
Whatever, right?

Thinking about it, if they do change the awards to just best actor, then there would only be one best actor unless they have 2 best actors.
Then maybe the ceremonies would get to be shorter![]()

Welcome to the forums, Slitslattly! There have always been posts about hosts, both negative and positive opinions. I think we all have hosts we like to watch and others we don't. Their job is to sell, sell, sell. They will never say anything negative about a product or item, that is how its done. Many tell stories to fill in their time. I only watch a few hosts and buy only what I can afford and what I like, I am not influenced by the hosts or vendors. Also you can shop on the Q site which I often do. so you don't have to watch someone who is annoying to you!
